    This month doesn’t have a lot to offer in terms of meaty and delicious OTT content. However, amongst the many fish in the sea, here are 5 recommendations for anyone looking to start watching something new:

    1. The Family Man (Season 2)One of the biggest releases of 2019, this show left thriller fans and Manoj Bajpayee fans gasping for more meaty content in the second season. The wait seems to be finally over as the second season drops tomorrow on Prime Video.  Bajpayee will reprise the role of Srikant Tiwari and will be joined by South super star Samantha Akkineni in a pivotal role as well. Get ready for some big action.

    2. I Dream Of JeannieLiterally everyone I know grew up watching the Hindi dubbed version of this iconic classic show which was the inspiration of so many multiple shows based on the same lines of a powerful ‘genie’ and a man. You can now stream it on Sony LIV this month.

    3. The InternThis wonderful heartfelt movie is gearing up for an Indian remake but before that, it won't hurt to watch this original on Netflix. Starring Anne Hathaway as the boss and Robert De Nero as a 70 year old widow who ends up being her intern, this is one movie which will give you all those ‘emotional’ feels.

    4. SunflowerThis is a comedy cum crime thriller which stars none other than the stupendously talented Sunil Grover. Not much is known about the premise except that it is a quirky murder mystery set in a housing society. To unravel it, tune into ZEE 5 on 11th June.

    5. The World’s Most Amazing Vacation RentalsThe Pandemic is not letting us even go grocery shopping in peace, so a vacation seems like a distant dream. Until then, this Netflix series will give you company which follows three travellers as they book vacations and share their expert tips and tricks.

    Wide shoulders, bulging biceps, chiselled jawline and over six feet tall--superheroes are built that way. Or should we say, they have been portrayed that way for longer than we can remember.

    Physical traits like a great body and strong muscles are synonymous with superhumans who we read about in comic books as kids. But how sensible it is to show a man in movies and films with these unrealistic body standards? 

    Netizens recently argued about it when Chris Hemsworth posted a photo from Thor: Love and Thunder’s last day of shoot where his arms were unbelievably bulked up.

    Fans rubbed their eyes in disbelief when they noticed and said his biceps look massive, even for someone playing Thor. 

    The photo ended up sparking a debate about how superheroes and celebrities who play these roles promote the unrealistic male body image, intentionally or unintentionally. 
    As a red-blooded, heterosexual male who has gone to the gym for over 20 years.......I feel like a complete failure ....... and I would love him to cuddle me with those big guns.

    Actors who play the role have to obviously fit in the character in the best possible ways and work hard to get a body like that. We will let you in on a dirty secret. 

    Sometimes, it also involves going on steroids to build superficially huge muscles. 
    They get them super dehydrated so the muscles stand out and then shoot. It's really hard on their bodies and it's just ridiculous.

    Former Bigg Boss contestant Sana Khan shut down a troll who mocked her for wearing ‘Hijab’ in her recent post on Instagram. On Wednesday, Sana had posted a photo of herself wearing a 'hijab'. A user commented on the post, saying, "Itna padai likhai kast karke kiya faida wohi toh sabke jaisa pardeke andar rahena (What's the point of your education if you're going to hide behind a hijab)".

    While it's needless to say that it's absolutely wrong to mock anyone for their choices, we also feel that it's a befitting response to such trolls.

    Last year, Sana Khan surprised her fans as she married Surat-based businessman Maulana Anas Saiyad on November 20 in an intimate ceremony and also announced her retirement from the entertainment industry before walking down the aisle.
    People trolled her for marrying him and calling it a ‘rushed’ decision. Talking to Times of India, Sana Khan said that it was not an overnight decision to marry Mufti Anas. She said, “I have prayed for years for a man like him in my life. What I liked best about him is that he is shareef and unn mein haya hai. He is not judgmental. He had said this to me, ‘Agar koi achhi cheez gutter mein gir gayi hai toh uske upar aap 10 baalti bhi paani daal do, woh saaf nahi hoti hai. Par aap usko gutter se baahar nikaal kar ek glass paani daal do, woh saaf ho jaati hai’ (If something falls in the gutter, you cannot clean it even with 10 buckets of water.. But when you take it out, it can be cleaned with one glass of water). That had a lasting impact on me.”

    On Thursday (June 03) Delhi's drug controller told the High Court that the former cricketer's Gautam Gambhir Foundation had illegally stocked and distributed Covid medicines.

    The drug controller said that the foundation was "found guilty" of procuring and distributing Fabiflu medicines to COVID-19 patients without a license.

    Nandita Rao, an advocate appearing for the drug controller, told the High Court that the foundation's stocking of medicine in an unauthorized manner was an offense under the Drugs and Cosmetics Act. Aside from Gambhir, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MLA Praveen Kumar was also found guilty of similar offenses under the act. 

    "The inquiry by drug controller found that the Fabiflu and oxygen were distributed for free by both of them but neither had a license to either buy or distribute. And so both have been found in violation of section 18C of the Drugs and Cosmetics Act for purchase and distribution of Fabiflu and Oxygen respectively without a license," said an official while speaking with NDTV. 
    However, soon after news of the hearing emerged in the public domain, Gautam Gambhir, who has been quite vocal about his feeling of doing nothing wrong, took to Twitter to share a quote by India's iconic freedom fighter, Bhagat Singh.

    A 300-ft wide sinkhole has appeared just outside of a town in Mexico, and it has the authorities worried. 
    Partly because the sinkhole seems to be growing constantly and somewhat rapidly, and partly because no one seems to be able to explain why the sinkhole appeared in the first place.

    Local authorities report that the sinkhole started out with a diameter of about 15 feet. Slowly, it started expanding and has actually gulped up about 70,000 square feet of land. 

    State civil engineers and various other agencies who have visited the site since last weekend have estimated that the hole, now filled with groundwater, is about 60-70 feet deep.

    Ever since their visit, the locals have been asked not to go near the mouth of the sinkhole. A nearby house has also been evacuated ever since the sinkhole started expanding.

    Local environmental officers believe that the extraction of aquifers and the relentless onslaught on the water table may have resulted in the appearance of the crater. 

    They explain, that the timing of the appearance of the sinkhole, that is during a thunderstorm with heavy rain, actually explains such phenomenon, as rare as it may be.

    Authorities also claim that such geological faults are rare, and should be dealt with extreme caution and that the entire area and surrounding districts have been put on alert.

    The ongoing pandemic has altered life and changed the meaning of what a ‘normal’  life means to most of us. 

    The crucial part about Coronavirus, that a lot of people still don’t understand, is that it literally doesn’t care about gender, celebrity status, wealth or what you do in life.

    Today, Bollywood actors and rumoured couple Tiger Shroff and Disha Patani were booked by the Mumbai Police for roaming around near the Bandra area post the allowed lockdown timings.  

    Since the ‘punny’ side of the Mumbai Police’s social media is known for calling out wrongdoers through savage tweets, it was natural that they couldn’t let this information slip by without making it 'filmy'.

    Indian Idol is considered to be one of the biggest singing reality shows in the country. 
    But, just like any other reality show, time and again, Indian Idol has landed in trouble and garnered attention for all the wrong reasons. 
    Right from the so-called 'fake elements' added to the show to 'made-up' love affairs, several controversies about the show have been exposed over time, sometimes, by the former contestants themselves. 
    Here, we take a look at 7 such controversies as stated by the judges or former contestants of the show that enraged the audience:

    It was admitted in one of the interviews by Aditya Narayan himself, the host of Indian Idol 12 that the romantic angles between contestants are cooked up. 

    Indian Idol fans are often seen rooting for Pawandeep Rajan and Arunita Kanjilal but turns out, their chemistry has been 'designed' for the audience, as put by Aditya. 
    It is created solely to entertain the fans. He had also mentioned 'ye dhong hai' but people seem to enjoy it, regardless/
    2. Anu Malik's Return To The Show © BCCL
    After several allegations against Anu Malik during the #MeToo movement, he stepped down from the Indian Idol judge panel back in 2019. 

    He then made a comeback in Indian Idol 12 as a guest and later, as a judge. However, a lot of people were left enraged and were clearly unhappy with the decision.

    There was a time when Indian Idol steered clear of any drama. But, it has now stoked bizarre controversies in the recent past. 

    Amit Kumar, the son of legendary singer Kishore Kumar was once invited to the show. He later went on to admit that he had been asked to praise the contestants. 
    He further added "I thought it would be a homage to my father. But once there, I just followed what I was asked to do. I had told them to give me portions of the script in advance, but nothing of that sort happened. I didn't enjoy the episode at all."
    This episode, in particular, made netizens angry, where they also said the judges and the contestants didn't do justice to the tribute episode.

    At the time of Indian Idol 11, Aditya Udit Narayan landed in several controversies. One of them was the romantic drama between him and Neha Kakkar. 

    A fake wedding announcement was added to the show. However, later on, Aditya rubbished the news and said it was for the 'TRP' of the show.

    Indian Idol 12, as we all know, embroiled in several controversies. Sahil Solanki's eviction was also one of them. 

    He received the lowest votes in Indian Idol and it was super shocking for his fans. He was a finalist in several reality shows and he mentioned that he was purposely sidelined, to give a chance to fresh talents.
    6. Sayli Kamble Controversy
    An old video of Sayali Kamble from Indian Idol season 12, also started doing rounds on the internet. 
    Often, the show had portrayed Sayli hailing from a poor family. However, a video of her singing with Marathi Singer Suresh Wadkar went viral and netizens slammed the makers of the show for fooling the audience.

    Recently, Abhijeet Sawant, the winner of Indian Idol season 1, in an interview mentioned that 'extra elements' are added to the show rather than singing expertise. When asked about the affairs, he confessed that it's faux. 

    However, former contestant Meiyang Chang said that there's drama in every show but in the season which he participated in, the work was being done with utmost honesty and transparency.

    Swara Bhasker is quite active on social media and is very vocal with her opinions which often land her in controversies. She is the favourite celeb for the trolls who don’t spare her any time she tweets. Swara, in a series of tweets, reacted to an unidentified person singing songs from Juhi Chawla’s movies during the online hearing of a plea filed by the actor against the setting up of 5G network in the country.
    “I love this country!” she wrote, responding to a tweet that said that the court proceedings were interrupted by someone singing Ghoonghat Ki Aad Se and Lal Lal Honthon Pe.     Well, if you need any counselling on how to go forward with it, you can talk to this particular gentleman who cycled all the way from Kerala to Kashmir, just by selling tea along the way. Nidhin Maliyekkal, a 23-year-old, hailing from god's own country, Kerala, began his cycling journey from Thrissur district in Kerala on January 1, 2021 with only a mere Rs 170 in his pocket.

    But the lack of funds did not stop him from having a surreal travel experience to Kashmir and back, with the youngster covering a staggering 5,647km till his return to Kerala on April 30.

    However, Nidhin, while speaking to The Hindu, he said the trip wasn't an impromptu one but only a small result of him being a travel junkie. The youngster became fond of travelling after he joined an Automobile Engineering course in Ernakulam district, which required him to travel on a daily basis.
    “I commuted by train to college every day. The trips, usually two hours long, became so enjoyable that after three months I stopped going to college and travelled to other places. Nobody knew it since I would return home by evening. But once the college authorities came to know about it, my adventure and my studies came to an end.” he told The Print.
    Nidhin, who has gone hitch-hiking across South India amongst many of his trips, spoke on how his trip to Kashmir was actually an end result of things not going his way.
    “So I started doing odd jobs. I was working as a tea/juice maker but when India went into lockdown, I had no job. When I was about to take up another job after 10 months of unemployment, it was given to someone else. That was when I decided on this trip,” he said.
    At the time when he started the journey, Nidhin said he took his younger brother's old cycle and just a few other things. He said, "He was not using it since he felt it had gone out of fashion! I thought I should manage with what I have. I sold my camera — my only saving — to repair the cycle and buy the things needed for the trip. I decided to sell tea during the trip to meet the expenses.”
    “(I had) a tent, a kerosene pump stove, flask, tea dust, sugar, saucepan, glasses, four T-shirts and two shorts. Everyone called me crazy. My parents didn’t know that I had just Rs 170 with me!” said Nidhin.
    But word had already begun spreading around Nidhin's journey to Kashmir on Facebook, and he found help from unknown sources, with people giving him a helmet, a water bottle, among other things.

    Nidhin also says that he was also unsure of the route which he had taken for his trip, however, despite having a language problem, many other cyclists helped him along the way. “All I knew to say in English was, ‘I am from Kerala, going to Kashmir’,” said Nidhin.

    Cycling only during the day, he would spend the journey selling tea at Rs 10 per cup, while mostly sleeping at petrol pumps or at accommodation arranged by his well-wishers.

    By the time he had reached Kashmir, he had cycled across Karnataka, Maharashtra, Goa, Gujarat, Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh, a thing which surely gives most people a lot of travel goals.

    Of course, it is not easy, but good things never really do come easy, do they?
