    Love stories are warm, fuzzy and leave you feeling like your soul just took a dip in a hot cup of coffee. 

    However, not all love stories are about a human heart beating for another human heart, sometimes love is found in places that are not expected.

    Here are 7 movies that explored the concept of love between a human and a non-human, giving this genre a very interesting spin:

    1. Her © Annapurna Pictures
    This movie gives you all the ‘feels’ even though it’s a love story between a human and an AI. 

    A lonely man finding love in his voice assistant makes you feel sad and pray for a happy ending for him at the same time. You can probably re-watch it and still feel emotional. 
    Also, 10000 points to Joaquin Phoenix’s marvellous acting skills.

    2. Warm Bodies © Summit Entertainment
    Dubbed as ‘Romeo and Juliet’ and this Shakespearean romance between a human and a zombie is a very interesting tale to witness. 

    The zombie ends up eating the human’s boyfriend and an apocalypse love story follows.

    3. Beauty And The Beast © Disney
    This one is not just a childhood tale brought to life but is a metaphor about finding inner beauty in humans and is one of the oldest stories in this genre. 

    The story is simple, a woman is married to a beast, who is basically a prince living under a curse. True love breaks all barriers, including his curse and they live happily, ever after.

    4. Ex-Machina © Film4 Productions
    An extremely interesting and well-made movie, please watch this in case you still haven’t experienced it. This is more than just a human falling for an AI. 

    This one basically spells out a very scary future for cross-species romance where humans will be or can be manipulated at the hands of a virtual machine, who will take over our emotions and our world.

    5. Lars & The Real Girl © Metro Goldwyn Mayer
    Ryan Gosling plays a loner who is basically anti-social as well. 

    When his family is elated to know that he has found love, their whims and fancies burst like an over-filled balloon after they realise that his internet lover is actually a life-size plastic doll.

    6. The Shape Of Water © TSG Entertainment
    Known as a work of science moulded in magic, this one tugged at everyone’s hearts when it was released back In 2017. 

    Elisa, a janitor, finds love in an amphibious man who is captured at a lab she works at. She gets him home, falls in love with him, as she continues to care for him and the climax, is the perfect ending to this odd tale.

    This movie defined teenage love for so many people, it’s not even funny. 

    Bella, a human who falls in love with the pale-faced Edward, a vampire, was a love story that was mocked and adored in equal measure, so much that it is one of the biggest movie franchises in the world.

    Ranging from Chaand Taare Todh Launga to Apni Jaan Bhi Dedunga, there are numerous clichéd promises made to one another that often leads to the question, exactly how far would you go for someone you love?

    Well, there are a few aashiqs, who actually know no boundaries in love, not even the actual geographic ones.
    In 2017, Prashanth Vadinam, an IT professional from Telangana had risked it all by crossing over to Pakistan without any papers or authorized documents, with just a dream of reaching Switzerland via Pakistan, to meet his girlfriend.

    However, unlike in movies, where you meet a Nawazuddin Siddiqui-like person to navigate you through Pakistan, Prashanth, unfortunately, was met by the country's police who then escorted him to the prison to serve his term for illegal entry.

    Thankfully, his four-year term has now come to an end and after a continuous period of efforts from his family, the Telangana Government, and the Indian government, Pakistan finally decided to hand over Prashanth back to his homeland after completing his four-year prison term.

    "After serving his sentence in Pakistan, he was handed over to Indian Immigration Authorities at Attari border yesterday. Today we brought him to Hyderabad. We handed over Prashant to his family members," said Cyberabad Commissioner VC Sajjanar, while speaking with PTI.

    After being reunited with his family, Prashanth thanked the Telangana government and Indian Foreign Ministry for bringing him back and also spoke on how he was treated well in the Lahore prison by Jail authorities as well as his inmates.

    Sunil Grover played an important role in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Tandav. 
    However, despite the critical acclaim, the show stirred a string of controversies and was largely slammed claiming that it had 'hurt religious sentiments'. 
    “I have tried my best to take up only safe subjects in my career. I personally feel that nobody's sentiments or beliefs should be hurt," Sunil told Bollywood Hungama in an interview.

    He added, “But now, because of social media and some other unknown reasons, how people react to certain things -- I have 20 filters in my brain -- you have no control over. There is creative expression, but how people catch the ball is completely out of your control. You can try, but you can't know how others will react”.
    Earlier, an FIR was filed against the makers of the show. 
    Ali then issued an apology and deleted a few scenes that claimed to hurt religious sentiments. 
    He also said, "We have the utmost respect for the sentiments of the people of our country. We did not intend to hurt or offend the sentiments of any individual, caste, community, race, religion or religious beliefs or insult or outrage any institution, political party or person, living or dead.”

    He added, “The cast and crew have decided to implement changes to the web series to address the concerns raised towards the same. We thank the ministry of information and broadcasting for the guidance and support in the matter. We once again apologize if the series has unintentionally hurt anybody’s sentiments.” 
    This happened when two complaints were filed- one by a policeman in Lucknow and another by Ram Kadam in Mumbai.  
    The UP cop said that 17 minutes into the first episode, "people dressed up in a very bad manner to represent Hindu gods and goddesses that hurt religious sentiments."

    Popular TV Show Pavitra Rishta went on for six years and the show garnered immense popularity due to the chemistry between Ankita Lokhande and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. 
    The show has now clocked 12 years and to celebrate its success, Ankita took to Instagram and shared a post that was quite emotional.

    She shared an assembly of photos of her journey with Sushant on the show and wrote "12Years!! Ohh, Yes Yes It's 12 Years Of Pavitra Rishta, Time Flies Really Quickly. With more than  66 Awards  #Pavitrarishta remains to be one of the most loved show on Indian Television. Here's to 12 glorious years of this iconic show. Which not only gave  me Archana but love all across the globe and made me who I'm  today."
    She also thanked Balaji Telefilms and Ekta Kapoor for letting her play the role 'Archana' in the post. Ankita and Sushant Singh's role as Archana and Manav became a household name and their chemistry instantly struck a chord with the audience.

    Ankita then hosted a live session with her fans and remembered Sushant Singh as she said "Sushant aaj hamare beech nahi hai, uske bina Pavitra Rishta adhoora hai. Archana ka Manav sirf Sushant tha"
    She also mentioned that Sushant was a brilliant star and acknowledged him for teaching her acting. 
    She said "Sushant taught me to act, I knew nothing. I was a junior and he was very senior. He was a brilliant actor, brilliant co-star and I am very fortunate to work with him."

    To celebrate this beautiful occasion, Ankita hosted the session with a cake and dedicated it to the followers of the show and Sushant Singh Rajput. 

    The show aired for the first time in 2009 on Zee TV and was one of the longest-running shows. While Ankita continued to essay the role of Archana till the end, Sushant quit in 2011 and then Hiten Tejwani took his place as Manav.

    It will soon be a year of Sushant's passing away. After the tragic demise, the OTT platform ZEE5 and ZEE TV channel decided to rerun Pavitra Rishta again in memory of the late actor.
