Popular TV Show Pavitra Rishta went on for six years and the show garnered immense popularity due to the chemistry between Ankita Lokhande and late actor Sushant Singh Rajput. 

The show has now clocked 12 years and to celebrate its success, Ankita took to Instagram and shared a post that was quite emotional.

She shared an assembly of photos of her journey with Sushant on the show and wrote "12Years!! Ohh, Yes Yes It's 12 Years Of Pavitra Rishta, Time Flies Really Quickly. With more than  66 Awards  #Pavitrarishta remains to be one of the most loved show on Indian Television. Here's to 12 glorious years of this iconic show. Which not only gave  me Archana but love all across the globe and made me who I'm  today."

She also thanked Balaji Telefilms and Ekta Kapoor for letting her play the role 'Archana' in the post. Ankita and Sushant Singh's role as Archana and Manav became a household name and their chemistry instantly struck a chord with the audience.

Ankita then hosted a live session with her fans and remembered Sushant Singh as she said "Sushant aaj hamare beech nahi hai, uske bina Pavitra Rishta adhoora hai. Archana ka Manav sirf Sushant tha"

She also mentioned that Sushant was a brilliant star and acknowledged him for teaching her acting. 

She said "Sushant taught me to act, I knew nothing. I was a junior and he was very senior. He was a brilliant actor, brilliant co-star and I am very fortunate to work with him."

To celebrate this beautiful occasion, Ankita hosted the session with a cake and dedicated it to the followers of the show and Sushant Singh Rajput. 

The show aired for the first time in 2009 on Zee TV and was one of the longest-running shows. While Ankita continued to essay the role of Archana till the end, Sushant quit in 2011 and then Hiten Tejwani took his place as Manav.

It will soon be a year of Sushant's passing away. After the tragic demise, the OTT platform ZEE5 and ZEE TV channel decided to rerun Pavitra Rishta again in memory of the late actor.
