Harrison Ford Is Finally Returning As Your Favourite Adventure Junkie Indiana Jones In Fifth Instalment


Just when you'd thought Harrison Ford had probably said goodbye to some iconic on-screen characters like Hans Solo from the hugely successful Star Wars franchise, it looks like the 78-year-old actor is not really done with other such characters.

Yes, there is some seriously interesting scoop of news for fans of the Indiana Jones franchise as Ford is returning as Dr. Henry Walton "Indiana" Jones in the fifth installment of the adventure series, which will begin filming next week.

As per reports from Deadline, Indiana Jones 5 will commence filming at the Pinewood Studios in the UK next week. Considering that the fourth installment was released back in 2008, rumors around Indiana Jones 5 have been doing the rounds for quite some time, however, the new developments mean that fans have something concrete to get excited about.

Sources close to the production have confirmed that the Lucasfilm movie which now falls under the umbrella of Disney is finally kicking on, with Ford even being spotted near to the studios earlier this week.

The new film will see Ford return to cinema screens as Indiana Jones after a period of 14 years and will share the screen alongside Danish star Mads Mikkelsen, Fleabag actor Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Thomas Kretschmann, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renee Wilson.

The movie, which is set to release on July 29, 2022, will be directed by Logan director James Mangold, who will take the reigns from Steven Spielberg.
