Rahul Dravid took the entire country by storm when he appeared in Cred’s commercial in which he could be seen having some anger-management issues while stuck in typical Bengaluru traffic as he brings out his bat, slams the adjacent car’s rear-view mirror and yells “Indiranagar ka gunda hun main” while sticking himself out of the sun-roof.
The advertisement was simply brilliant and instantly went viral. A little social media nudge by the captain of the Indian cricket team, Virat Kohli, also came as a very strong boost.
Never seen this side of Rahul bhai 🤯🤣 pic.twitter.com/4W93p0Gk7m

What a lot of people did not know was that the script for the 23-second video was written by comedian Tanmay Bhat and his colleague from the All India Bakchod organisation. Bhat, who now runs his own individual YouTube channel where he uploads Vlogs, recently shared a video that captures some excellent behind-the-scenes shots from the shoot in which the real Rahul Dravid can be seen, completely out of his comfort zone and just being his humble-self.
“Me, Puneet, and Vishal were sitting at the monitor and we were making jokes about how if we sent this footage to the U-19 team they would get intimidated. I went and told that joke to Rahul and he laughed," the 33-year old said in the vlog before chatting up Dravid in the middle of the shoot. “You know that Mathew Hayden quote? If you wanna know aggression, look into the eyes of Rahul Dravid… “It should be ‘if anyone wanted to see Dravid’s aggression they should watch the CRED ad’.”
    - and most pleasantly surprising was his incredible curiousity. He asked about punchlines, and delivery, and the science behind writing and directing comedy. Incredible experience. What an absolute legend.

“Rahul Dravid is one of the nicest, politest people I’ve had the pleasure of meeting. In the brief few hours, he taught me how to correct my batting stance (I do all my cardio while batting in the nets), was kind enough to share the most fascinating cricketing insights and most pleasantly surprising was his incredible curiosity. He asked about punchlines, and delivery, and the science behind writing and directing comedy. Incredible experience. What an absolute legend, (sic)” Bhat had tweeted earlier in April when the advertisement was first released.

Rahul Dravid’s relationship with funny and interesting advertisements is older than a decade now. Back when he used to play for the Indian cricket team, he used to be a brand ambassador for multiple brands, most of whom capitalised on Dravid’s cool and composed nature and created fascinating advertisements around it.
You can check out a few of them, here.

Harbhajan Singh has to be one of the most beloved members of the Indian cricket team and his fan-following continues to be intact despite not playing as a ‘Man in Blue’ since 2016 and struggling to make an impact in the Indian Premier League in the past couple of years.
However, a supposed fan, for some reason believed that ‘Bhajji’ has formed a certain bias in favour of the people who are rich and “verified” on social media while simply ignoring his middle-class and simple fans.
@harbhajan_singh accept the fact sir you dont think about a middle class family u give reply or discussion everything for who have blue tick or have everything in their life but who really needs you dont reply
    Is this your humanity???

And a lot of people actually believe that that was in fact the case.
I think its not specific to Bhajji, all stars (Journalist, Politicians, Sports-Media personalities, officers) respond only to blue tick holders.

True. Only tweeting and retweeting do not yield any result. I have also tagged u and sent u direct message on instagram but I didn't get any reply. Pls check sir

And regardless of what these people felt, Bhajji did in fact end up replying to his comment and expressed his mentality while interacting on social media platforms like Twitter.
I am from lower middle class and I do reply to people who talk sense.. I am one of you brother not higher class or any class .. I am just a human like you who feel the pain of another https://t.co/82dGLovvnn

“I am from lower middle class and I do reply to people who talk sense.. I am one of you brother not higher class or any class .. I am just a human like you who feel the pain of another,” Singh replied befittingly.
Harbhajan Singh has recently started a mobile laboratory for COVID-19 testing in Pune which was scheduled to get into action from Saturday onwards.
“Indian cricketer Harbajan Singh had approached us a few days ago and offered help to contain the Covid-19 surge. The mobile lab for Covid-19 testing will start at Vadgaonsheri tomorrow,” said state BJP chief Chandrakant Patil on Friday, according to The Indian Express.
Thanks @harbhajan_singh Cricketer Harbajan Singh to provide mobile Covid-19 testing lab in Pune https://t.co/nobSFKFRGE via @IndianExpress

Being picked up by the Kolkata Knight Riders during the mini-auction ahead of the 2021 edition of the IPL, Singh has made appearances in the first three matches of the tournament for his franchise. Giving away 63 runs in just seven overs during this tenure, he spinner was dropped from the roster by skipper Eoin Morgan, ahead of KKR’s fourth match.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has come a long way since the first Iron Man movie which came out in 2008 and has enjoyed global fame since then.
One of their biggest fan-following comes from India so it is only obvious that the guys in the studios try to give us a shoutout from time to time.
Here are the five major Indian references made in The Avengers and other MCU Movies:
    1. Bruce Banner In Kolkata - The Avengers (2012)
At the very beginning of The Avengers, Natasha Romanoff is given the task of locating Bruce Banner, who was trying to keep his calm in the “slums of Kolkata” and looking after the sick.
    2. Terror Attack In Mumbai - Captain America: The Winter Soldier (2014)
At the near end of Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Alexander Pierce tries to explain his plan to the World Security Council and talks to Councilman Singh dirently. Pierce asks him if he will be willing to use the S.H.I.E.L.D.’s resources to deal with a situation in which Pakistan attacks Mumbai.
    3. Tony Stark Attends Indian Wedding - Spider-Man: Homecoming (2017) Although Robert Doney Jr. wasn’t really in India, the moment in the very first Spidey movie as an MCU product in which Stark is in the middle of an Indian wedding, surely surprised a lot of Indian fans.
    4. ‘Glory To Hanuman’ - Black Panther (2018)

When M’Baku makes his first appearance to challenge T'Challa for the throne, he says “Glory To Hanuman” signifying that the people of his Jabari tribe were the devotees of the Hindu god. However, the Indian Censor Board felt that this reference might hurt people’s religious sentiments and decided to bleep the god’s name from the film.
    5. ‘Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba’ - Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 (2017)
This last one’s a bit tricky. While Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol 2 didn’t really have any Indian reference, one of their marketing campaigns involved redoing the movie trailer with 1980’s superhit song Jhoom Jhoom Jhoom Baba. While this experiment received mixed reactions from the fans, the film did exceedingly well in India and it is safe to say that the marketing stunt paid off.
