There has been an alarming surge in Covid cases recently in India and a lot of people are aggressively blaming the government for not being able to provide the necessary requirements.

Amid all of this, Twitter has taken down over 50 posts from its platform criticising the centre, after orders from the government.

The majority of the tweets that were removed were critical of the way the Centre has been handling the rising cases. There's an acute shortage of beds and oxygen, and the deleted tweets highlighted the shortages as well.

The details of this order have been raised on the Lumen database, a website that analyses the data and removes unwanted material from the web.
Furthermore, tweets related to mass cremations as well as gatherings of the crowd have also been taken down. These tweets may not be visible to Indian users but will continue to stay as it is outside the country.

Some accounts that posted such tweets include those by actor Vineet Kumar Singh, filmmaker and former journalist Vinod Kapri, Congress spokesperson Pawan Khera, ABP News editor Pankaj Jha, a minister from West Bengal Moloy Ghatak, etc.

All the posts and tweets added by these accounts have been withheld and the users in India will not be able to see their content.

Earlier, the Centre had asked Twitter to remove content related to 'farmer genocide' and remove almost 1,200 accounts, during the time of the farmers' protests against the new farm laws.

Meanwhile, Twitter's latest move has not gone down well with a lot of people:
If that was so it is highly undemocratic on part of govt to shield it's own shortcomings to handle the situation in #India .#GodiMedia

If only they had shown this determination & farsightedness towards the #Covid situation...

Arjun Kapoor's fashion sense has evolved by leaps and bounds over the years. He has been experimenting with silhouettes and has worked on some zany ensembles in the past.
Take his Lake chappals for example and when he wore sneakers worth a lakh. With most of his appearances, he made it clear that he is a fashionista alright.

We have also seen Arjun carrying some dope backpacks as well as expensive sneakers.

So, it won't be wrong to call Arjun a sneakerhead as well, given the number of times he has worn some sick pair of shoes.

This time too, as he was returning to Mumbai after shooting for Ek Villain Returns, we saw him in yet another casual avatar.

Even though the outfit was super basic, his sneakers took the cake for their detailing. Check it out.

Before we speak of his sneakers, let's talk about Arjun's outfit. We like how he has gone for monotones here.

The Valentino T-shirt is a versatile addition. Made in cotton fabric, this style comes decorated with a printed VLTN logo and it adds more appeal to the smart casual look.
Furthermore, it has a crew neck and a straight hem. Despite this T-shirt being basic, it pairs well with the black pants that Arjun has gone for here.
As for his accessories, we like the tinted sunglasses, the black beanie and a minimalistic neck chain that he has gone for. Even the watch is sitting perfectly with this look.

The pièce de résistance, his sneakers made a statement with their overall aesthetics.

He is wearing the Nike Air Jordan 1 Mid BG Basketball sneakers. These shoes come with a rubber sole and have a mid-cut, along with a round toe and flat platform heel.
The colour palette in black and red, makes the pair look basic yet is a classic number.

Now, as for the price, it may look like this pair could burn a big, moon-sized hole in your pocket. But these are cheaper than the T-shirt that Arjun is wearing here.
These cost only Rs 12,401, which isn't so bad.

We also would like to mention the cost of the T-shirt here. Since it's by Valentino, the basic number comes with a hefty price tag. It's worth almost Rs 30,000.

In all, Arjun certainly knows how to level up his style game with some dope pieces. Seriously, these sneakers are something!

A key member of the Indian cricket team, Jasprit Bumrah has been considered to be one of the best bowlers in the world at the moment.
His Team India captain Virat Kohli and Mumbai Indians skipper Rohit Sharma, have shown an incredible level of confidence in the pacer over the years.
On the other hand, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) backed him up with the highest contract that they could give out, the A+ Category, for which the cricketer earns Rs 7 crores per annum. Bumrah is the only bowler to have the lucrative contract.

    — Sports Launchpad (@LaunchpadSports) April 17, 2021 However, former Indian cricketer and one of the most respected members of fraternity, Anish Nehra spoke about how he would choose a different Indian bowler over Bumrah, especially when it comes to how skilful the two are.
In a conversation with Cricbuzz, Nehra chose Royal Challengers Bangalore’s Mohammed Siraj over Bumrah as the pacer with more skills, variations and future prospects.
Skill wise, Siraj even ahead of Bumrah: Ex-Indian pacer Ashish Nehra feels 'sky is the limit' for RCB star

"When you talk about skill, this has been my thinking in the last three-four years. When it comes to bowlers, everyone talks about Jasprit Bumrah being right up there. I don't think Siraj is behind Bumrah when you are talking about skills," Nehra said.
"Going forward, how successful he will be is something to be seen," he added.
"There was talk about a couple of years ago that he used to pick up 5-6 wickets in every match for India A with the red ball, and I've always believed that a good red-ball bowler, a Test match bowler, will always have a greater chance of being a good white-ball bowler,"  the former India pacer said.

"There are some bowlers whom you include only for T20s, for white-ball matches. So I think Siraj is a very good all-format bowler. There is no shortage of skill, he has all type of variations. I would in fact say that skill-wise, he is even ahead of Bumrah if you talk of variations," Nehra said.
"He has a different slower one, he doesn't lack pace, he can move the new ball. He needs to keep his fitness and sharpen his mind. If he can do these two things well, the sky is the limit," Nehra concluded.

One thing is for certain, if anyone else in the world would have picked Siraj over Bumrah, the fans of the Indian cricket team would have roasted them online like there is no tomorrow.
However, because it was Nehra who made the statement, even the fans are confused about whether they should be angry or join the bandwagon.
“skill wise, I don't think Siraj is behind Bumrah, and in all formats”

Advertisements, unarguably, are important for the media to regulate the money flow in the business. From promoting their brands to making a difference with their products, brands have been using ads as a medium to reach a large number of people. Some advertisements were plain stupid and we have criticized them for their useless way of portraying the brand. There are some that did make sense but didn’t have any message attached to it.
Well, we are going to talk about those ads that have managed to initiate a dialogue and challenged societal taboos which many have been following as age-old customs.
    1. DoveThe recent Dove ad has a lot to offer as it has stories of women who had to battle criticism for their complexion and body structure during the matchmaking process, and the impact this has on their self-esteem. As these are real stories, they send out a very strong message that women shouldn’t be subjected to such societal taboos. Priya Nair, Executive Director, HUL & VP – Beauty and Personal Care South Asia opined, “In a country of 631 million women, it is unfortunate that there is such intense pressure to adhere to one definition of beauty. As owners of some of the largest beauty brands in the country, the onus to make beauty more positive and more inclusive is on us. Dove has always believed that beauty should be a source of confidence, not anxiety. With #StopTheBeautyTest, we want to go one step forward in that direction.”

    2. Red LabelAs a society, we always have trouble accepting transgenders as equals. The recent ad of Red Label has touched this very topic and has shown how the transgender community is always subjected to prejudice. They are already treated differently and through this ad, the makers are trying to tell that we have to change our attitude and be more accepting towards them. Shiva Krishnamurthy, vice president, Tea and Foods (HUL), says, “Brooke Bond Red Label’s purpose is to make India more inclusive. We believe that a cup of tea can help us challenge stereotypes and bring people closer. Our latest TVC is yet another attempt to celebrate diversity and encourage people to embrace it.”

    3. GilletteIf you have seen this ad, you would have an idea that it touched upon a topic that should have been discussed ages ago. Gillette is now urging men to embrace their vulnerability. From shedding tears to accepting that men can be vulnerable, the new ad is challenging all the notions of masculinity we all carry within us. Talking about the ad, Sandipan Bhattacharyya, Chief Creative Officer, Grey Group, said, “Gillette, as a leading male brand and advocate for men, believes in igniting conversations that raise and inspire the future generation of men. With #ManEnough, we want men breaking free of notions that crying makes them weaker and that it takes courage to show your vulnerability.”

    4. All OutIn joint families, there have been instances wherein a mother is not even allowed to scold their children even after their wrongdoings because some relatives will always have issues with her tough nature and will land up ridiculing the mother for being harsh. This ad is trying to change that mindset and shed light on the correct parenting. Ann Mukherjee, Global Chief Marketing Officer for SC Johnson, said, “My hope is that this campaign will help initiate conversations within families and encourage support for raising happy, healthy children.”

    5. TanishqAn advertisement by Titan Group’s Tanishq Jewellery featuring an interfaith married couple focused on Hindi and Muslim unity. It was one beautiful ad but only received backlash because of the backward mindset of people. The advertisement, which was released on 9 October, shows a Muslim family preparing a traditional Hindu baby shower for their pregnant Hindu daughter-in-law. It was accused of promoting ‘love jihad and ‘fake secularism’. We wish people had understood the real sentiment behind the ad.
