With India battling with the second wave of COVID-19 and medical professionals facing the Herculean task of saving lives, a majority of the hospitals urgently need more oxygen cylinders and concentrators to save as many lives as possible.

With this in mind, a group of startup founders known as Gurgaon Entrepreneurs launched the campaign on the Indian online crowdfunding platform, Ketto, to raise INR 2.5 crore for 500 concentrators for hospitals across the country.

The initial requirement is listed below:

“We have managed to procure 500 concentrators from China, which will be shipped on Monday for India and we will be able to supply them to the hospitals earliest by Wednesday. Initially we self-funded approximately 50 Lacs for this initiative and placed an order for 100 concentrators. However, to process the order for the remaining 400 concentrators by Monday we need another Rs 2.5 Crore and we decided to embrace the power of the crowd and started a fundraiser on Ketto.org,” said Rahul Aggarwal, Founder Democracy People Foundation, while commenting on the fundraiser.

The campaign went live on Friday night and within 17 hours over Rs 1.70 crore was from over 1400 donors.

“This is a non-for-profit and charitable initiative. We urge people to come forward and generously donate to the cause. Every bit will go a long way in saving lives,” added Aggarwal.

Want to do your bit and help out? Please check with your respective hospitals (esp. the smaller ones that don't get enough visibility) the quantity they would need and fill this form.

Keep in mind that it is first come first serve, as limited stock will be imported in the first lot, which will arrive in Delhi on Monday and will reach hospitals by Wednesday.

In a tragic development, 49-year-old Rahmat Ahsan, a shopkeeper from the AIIMS campus, passed away after falling sick and failing to procure a bed at the hospital.

According to reports, Rahmat was a familiar name with the resident doctors and medical students of AIIMS who knew him as someone who had been around for as long as they could remember.
AIIMS SU raising funds for Rahmat Uncle. He served COVID warriors during time of crisis but couldn’t get bed for himself. Govt won’t consider him Covid Warrior & neither gives him compensation. Now it’s our responsibility to donate & help the bereaved family #RIP pic.twitter.com/fW0BxWnvaA

Rahmat had been suffering from fever and restlessness along with high blood pressure, and on Wednesday he is said to have had trouble breathing.

However, his family could not procure him a bed in the hospital, following which he breathed his last on Thursday morning, according to an Indian Express report.
The last memory people have of his store is of a message on the closed shop saying that he could not open the shop as he was not feeling well.

“He had a fever for a few days and on Wednesday it got severe. We tried to get him admitted to the DRDO facility and could not. We knew that there were no beds in AIIMS so we gave up. His antigen test was positive but we could not get an RTPCR test done. Finally, we arranged an oxygen cylinder at home through his contacts. But he passed away at 6:30 am on Thursday.” Rahmat’s brother-in-law Abu Zeeshan said.

Rahmat, who ran a general store, for over 20 years is survived by his wife and two daughters aged 14 and 12.
Meanwhile, India has reportedly hit a rate of one COVID-19 reported death every four minutes in New Delhi, as the acute shortage of oxygen tanks among other items including hospital beds is taking a toll.

India has now reported nearly one million new cases in just three days, which is an alarming development.

Another 2,624 deaths, a new daily record, were reported in 24 hours, taking the official toll to nearly 190,000 since the pandemic started.

Sara Ali Khan, who ventured into Bollywood with Kedarnath, 3 years ago, has proved that she is here to stay with her acting skills.
Interestingly, Sara's father, Saif Ali Khan happened to troll her once, when they were both sharing the couch on Koffee With Karan.
This was before Sara made her debut in Bollywood. Even though this bit wasn't a part of the show, the scene was unveiled on Unseen Koffee Konfessions.

Karan Johar put forward a topic on how important it is to look good in Bollywood and how more and more celebrities these days are approaching Botox and other expensive cosmetic treatments.

To this Sara said that she knew the pressure exists, but not everyone needs to accept it. She said “Somewhere down the line, you have to gather the inner strength to stand up to that pressure and be comfortable in your skin,”

She further added “If you're not comfortable and confident in who you are, then there will be 500 people willing to pull you down,” she further said, everyone gets trolled and added ‘it really shouldn’t matter'.

Saif was observing his daughter's opinion and later chimed in saying “Brigitte Bardot,” wherein he was trying to say the actor aged gracefully.
Saif had clearly zoned out of the conversation in the middle, not paying attention to what his daughter was saying. That's when Sara asked him to repeat what she was saying.

He then appeared to troll his daughter saying, “You were talking about people in this industry pulling you down after being here for three minutes.”

He mocked her a bit more and added, “The trials and tribulations…”
Sara then responded to the light-hearted jibe saying, “But is it not true, father, that people do try to kind of make you feel insecure here, no matter what?” To this Saif later agreed and said some of them to make you feel that.
Finally, Sara summed it up and said she isn't wrong in saying so as everyone does it. Management, PR, hair, makeup, everyone.

Sara has given some stellar performances in movies like Simmba and Love Aaj Kal 2.

Her upcoming release is Atrangi Re, in which she is set to star starring opposite Akshay Kumar and Dhanush.

The pandemic has no doubt upended most of our lives.

Everything eased for a while but as soon as people became reckless again, miscalculating the virus, the impact has been worst than ever as the second wave is here.
On top of that, our Instagram feeds are flooded with posts of people travelling and vacationing during such times.
Amidst all this, even B-town celebrities have been spotted letting their hair down in the Maldives.
It was very recently when celebs including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, etc. were seen jetting off for a vacation in the Maldives while the whole country is dealing with the extreme brunt of the virus.

After Shobhaa De and Shruti Haasan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has now come forward to speak about this exodus of the stars, saying that some celebrities 'lack empathy'.

In an interview with SpotBoyE, Nawazuddin put forward his point and said "In logon ne, Maldives ko tamasaha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering"
    © Instagram/Nawazuddin Siddiqui
He further added, expressing his displeasure "These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo. Perhaps going on holiday is not so wrong as showing off about it?”

When he was asked if he would like to travel to the Maldives, Nawazuddin added “No way. I am in my home town Budhana with my family. That’s my Maldives,".

On the work front, Nawaz was last seen in Serious Men. Apart from that, he has several other projects lined up for him, No Land's Man and Jogira Sara Sara along with Bole Chudiyan.
