The pandemic has no doubt upended most of our lives. 

Everything eased for a while but as soon as people became reckless again, miscalculating the virus, the impact has been worst than ever as the second wave is here. 

On top of that, our Instagram feeds are flooded with posts of people travelling and vacationing during such times.

Amidst all this, even B-town celebrities have been spotted letting their hair down in the Maldives. 

It was very recently when celebs including Alia Bhatt, Ranbir Kapoor, Tiger Shroff, Disha Patani, etc. were seen jetting off for a vacation in the Maldives while the whole country is dealing with the extreme brunt of the virus.

After Shobhaa De and Shruti Haasan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui has now come forward to speak about this exodus of the stars, saying that some celebrities 'lack empathy'. 

In an interview with SpotBoyE, Nawazuddin put forward his point and said "In logon ne, Maldives ko tamasaha bana rakha hai. I don’t know what their arrangement is with the tourism industry. But for the sake of humanity, please keep these vacations to yourself. There is suffering"

He further added, expressing his displeasure "These entertainment celebrities posting vacation pictures at a time when the world is reeling under the worst recession. …Logon ke pass khana nahin hai aur aap paise phenk rahe ho. Kuch toh sharm karo. Perhaps going on holiday is not so wrong as showing off about it?”

When he was asked if he would like to travel to the Maldives, Nawazuddin added “No way. I am in my home town Budhana with my family. That’s my Maldives,".

On the work front, Nawaz was last seen in Serious Men. Apart from that, he has several other projects lined up for him, No Land's Man and Jogira Sara Sara along with Bole Chudiyan.
