    Bollywood is life. Our song and dance sequences, no matter how unreal and dramatic, are the coolest. After all, what's life without some drama. Life's too short to be boring.

    It’s always a little hard to resist shaking a leg when the DJ plays a Bollywood song, isn’t it? And guess who is the latest to be smitten with Bollywood? An old video has surfaced on the internet and it shows what looks like former Pakistan president Pervez Musharraf dancing to the crazy hit number “Dilli Wali Girlfriend” from ‘Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani’.
    How can anyone not love Bollywood? Can't blame him; look at Deepika and Ranbir's sizzling chemistry here.
    Dancing in that gorgeous red dress, Deepika sure is the seductress who can put to shame all girlfriends. Kudos to Kumaar for the lyrics that had Delhi girls sharpening their nails.

    Shah Rukh was leaving no stone unturned to ensure that his upcoming ‘Raees’  was promoted with a bang until the promotional activity of travelling from Mumbai to Delhi in a train turned fatal for someone.

    Apparently, the train stopped at Vadodara station and as expected, there was a humungous crowd of fans who were waiting to catch a glimpse of the King Khan. However, amidst the entire chaos and madness, one man died of cardiac arrest and couldn’t be given any help since the stampede and the chaos made it impossible for anyone to reach out to him. The man in question turned out to be an uncle of someone from SRK’s crew.

    Shah Rukh has released an official statement clearing out the air. “One of our colleagues was travelling with us. Her uncle came down to see her at the Vadodara and then he suffered from a cardiac arrest. It’s really unfortunate because we’d really thought of this as a journey where we’d all travel and spend time with each other. And you know, when one of your own loses someone on a trip like this, it saddens us all. On behalf of everyone I’d just like to say that our blessings and prayers are with the whole family. She’s reached there, I just spoke with her. I think the burial is an hour or half an hour. We have some of our people with the family members also, so Inshallah, God will bless his soul.”

    Besides this, it has been reported that even two constables were injured during the promotional campaign. It is sad to know that what started as a happy journey, ended on a sad note for some.

    After back to back blockbusters ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ and ‘Sultan’, Salman Khan is already onto his next film ‘Tubelight’.
    Set in the early 1960s during the Sino-India war, ‘Tubelight’ is the story of an Indian man falling in love with a Chinese girl. Chinese actress Zhu Zhu will be seen playing Salman Khan’s love interest and their pictures together look great!

    Most transformation stories start with a sad theme. An obesity ridden childhood or mostly a victim of body shaming, I faced none of these.  Mine is a simple story of a guy who used to play team sports since childhood but all outdoor activities came to a halt when engineering college started. Most of my schoolmates from the neighborhood either shifted to colleges in different cities or were simply too pre-occupied with academics. Physical activities were now officially dead for me.  With nobody to play with anymore, I befriended the iron. Dumbbells and barbells were my very first friends. Here`s a picture of me in my first year of engineering college i.e. Jan 2010. 

    The process of gymming and dieting didn’t really start with full fervor in 2010. But nonetheless, it was a foundational year for me. Till 2013, it wasn’t all that serious. I already had my studies to cope with. Neither was I training hard enough nor was my diet on point. I started running for a few months after but it became incredibly monotonous. 
    THE ‘ACTUAL’ START The first gym I joined was an open akhada type of gym which had just free weights and no machines. The best thing about that gym was that the coach there would teach the exercises from Arnold Schwargenneger`s ‘New Encyclopedia of Modern Bodybuilding', which I already read. Soon, I started seeing changes in my body and got hooked. My structure was changing now and I could see that with my naked eyes. This hit me like an addiction, an addiction to lifting weights.
    Quest For More
    I started looking deeper into muscle building and training plans by talking to guys stronger and bigger than me. I went to everybody- from the internet to public libraries and even to local bodybuilders in my spare time. Not to mention buying more books on Exercise Science and attending fitness seminars by saving my pocket money. Hell, I was so into it that I was reading more about bodybuilding and less about engineering.
    FITNESS –A WAY OF LIFE From here on, the gym became an integral part of my life. Studies continued and brought with it the stress of exams and such. Hence, I wasn’t seeing the gym for weeks or even months, on end. After graduating, I worked for two engineering companies but my heart was not in. I wasn’t happy.  I resigned both times and finally got into studying fitness and started working at a gym as general trainer. Resigning from the job wasn`t easy and was met with resistance from my parents but soon, they became supportive. I also started competing at local strength based competitions but the best came in July 2015. I competed at the Jerai Strongman Competition in the below 80kg Category and placed 4th in it. Here`s a picture from the competition that went viral.

    Bollywood Came Knocking  I never expected what happened next. Bollywood came calling. Yes, Bollywood!  You guys will soon see me soon see me in a Bollywood movie as one of the 21 Sikh Soldiers of The British Indian Army who fought against a force of 10,000 Afghans in the epic Battle Of Saragarhi with Randeep Hooda as the lead.


    Did I use Steroids?
    Simple answer to that is-No. I know it’s hard to believe for many guys but that’s the truth. The way I look today is all about consistent training, eating right and patience.  Years of studying and applying the same on my body has earned me this physique. I have no issues against a person who uses drugs but that’s not my route. Another thing is that being natural helps my clients relate better to me.

    When all else fails, have pizza. Why? Because nothing will make you feel the way pizza does. With the different varieties of cheeses topped on top of a bed of eth softest and most supple cushion that is bread, soaked with the oils of love that can only come from a kitchen. Fresh vegetables and scrumptious meat variations sprinkled lightly to cover the bed of bread like a soft puff of a cloud. Topped with oregano and chilli flake dusted just enough to give the most beautiful hint of a whiff that will make for the most delectable and irresistible food item in the world. It’s like entering a bedroom, knowing that you’re going to have a heck of a fun night with the most beautiful creations you could ever have, to yourself. 
    Pizza. 
    I found at least 15 such pizzas worth indulging in, across the capital city of New Delhi. Brace yourselves because, over the next few days, you’re going to be falling in love and hunger with all sorts of different species of Pizza.

    The Deep Dish is like a cake made with only the best varieties of cheese and meats layered one over the other to form a chunk of heaven that melts in your mouth and reaches that spot in your soul where you know Nirvana has been attained.

    The Rustic Pizza Smoked Chicken Sausages and Caramelized Onions is what dreams are made of. You don’t even need any added flavours or toppings, honestly.

    The Boss’s Style Spiced Tenderloin Pizza is the frigging boss of all their pizza options, really. The meat is perfectly cooked and the crust is perfectly baked and it’s quite a battle of compliments.

    The original outlet is in Galleria, Gurugram and that’s where you should visit if you really want to experience the authenticity that is Fat Lulu’s. The ingredients are brought in fresh on a daily basis and the preparation is impeccable for almost all their options. They know their pizzas.

    I stumbled upon this small haunt in Cyberhub, Gurugram, quite accidentally. And impressed, I was. The Pizza Primavera in their vegetarian selections and the Quattrro Fromaggio stand out from their menu. Their service is generally slower than usual. But, the wait is totally worthwhile. Plus, it wins extra pizza points for being the more underrated of the pizza places in Delhi.

    Pizza Express has this sort of X-factor in the pizzas. It can’t be explained, honestly. You should try the rectangular pizza options, on preference. The place always smells of a baker’s oven and is never overcrowded. Try the Cajun Chicken Pizza with the mulled wine. Enough said.

    They don’t have an extensive menu. But they are known for their Italian preparations, especially their Pizza options. You should definitely try the Paper Pizza with Bacon, Pepper and Pickled Onions, in the non-vegetarian section and the same with Garlic Mushroom and Feta Caramelised Onions in the vegetarian section.

    They’re known for their food. Period. But, it’s their pizzas that I look forward to every single time I visit. Their thin crust wood-fired pizzas as well as their Milano paper thin pizzas are both, just as delectable; it’s difficult to choose. But, just to get us started, let’s call for one Mushroom from the farm, caramelized onions, olives, parmesan flakes and truffle goat cheese, from either vegetarian wood-fired options; and one paper thin Parma ham slices dressed rocket Spanish chorizo and a hint of Paprika, thank you very much.

    I know, you’re like, ‘Wut’? Shush up and order the Pizza Hut Triple Treat which is basically like a triple decker bus full of cheese, chunks of the most scrumptiously cooked meats and toppings to the galore. It. Doesn’t. Get. Better. Than. This. It’s like on a day when everything goes badly downhill, you have a Triple Treat from Pizza Hut to keep you up.

    Fairly new and lesser known, Tossin Pizza is the improved version of Crusty’s and they’re just as bang on with their Pizzas. You should definitely try the Chicken Pesto Pizza, the Peri Peri Chicken Pizza and the Rome Style Veg Pizza.

    I discovered this place on one of my hunger emergencies around Gurgaon and what a savior of a place! You’d never have thought that Tonino’s can create such good Italian food and how! Their pizza options are not only authentic to Italian taste but extremely fresh and healthy, too! You can literally choose any option from the menu and it will be just as good as the previous or the next one. And while you’re at it, I’d throw in one of their Pizza sandwich options too!

    The Deli has a variety of options in various different categories, yes. But the options within the categories are minimal. Although, that doesn’t really matter because when it comes to their wafer-thin pizza options, you have got to try the 3 pepper and 3 smoked cheese pizzas, never mind if you don’t try anything else.

    Their pizzas are their bestsellers, honestly; especially, the four cheese vegetarian pizza, the Margherita and the loaded chicken pizza. These three take your expectations of the place to insurmountable heights, really.

    It’s a fairly new place in Cyber Hub with a vast menu to choose from. But, their paper thin pizzas are one of their highlights, undoubtedly. The Pizza Tuscana for one is the must try for its toppings of sundried tomatoes, wood smoked chicken and the fact that it’s not a regular round pizza. One bite is all it will take!

    Let’s just say that when it comes to Italian, there is nothing that Amici doesn’t do that doesn’t taste like you just entered a kitchen in Italy. For best effect, visit the Amici Café in Khan Market, if you can. They have something called Pizza strips in their starter options that you should definitely try. Choose the Blue Mushroom from the Gourmet Pizza section and order a Margharita pizza from the regular section. And if you still have an appetite for more, you should try the Yalla Habibi which is one of their specialties on hand tossed pizzas, without any tomato sauce.

    Ever since the Supreme Court issued an order that National Anthem should be played in the movie halls across the country, some ‘patriots’ have taken it on their shoulders to turn moral police and reignite that lost spark of nationalism in the citizens, and they don’t even care about the extent to which they go to make their voices heard. Just in case you are feeling good about this, let us tell you punching an elderly man in the name of nationalism is not something to be proud of and we wouldn’t refrain from saying that it’s really shameful on your part.

    In Mumbai’s Goregaon area, a 59-year-old man, Amalraj Peter Dasan, was attacked by a drunk for not standing up during the national anthem tune that was being played in one of the scenes in the movie ‘Dangal’. To set things straight, Dasan dutifully stood during the national anthem that played before the beginning of the movie. Ironically, Dasan and his wife were the only ones who stood up during the national anthem as the hall was empty. So is this some sort of a new symbol of patriotism where you aren’t nationalist enough if you don’t rise each time the anthem is played, even if it’s just in a scene? Or does rising during the anthem make you more patriotic, while you can walk out and talk sh*t about the country later? Traumatized by the event, Dasan and his wife requested Mumbai Mirror to appeal to all the actors, producers and the Censor Board, on their behalf and alert the audience if there were any scenes related to the national anthem.

    The accused has been identified as Shirish Madhukar, a 52-year-old man who has now been booked under the IPC sections 323 and 504. According to an officer from Goregaon Police station, the accused said that he was under the influence of alcohol and “taken over by patriotic zeal that reflected in the movie.” Wow! Recalling the traumatic incident, Dasan said “It was the scene where the protagonist's daughter wins the gold medal and the national anthem's tune is being played in the background. Suddenly, a man who was obviously very drunk, started screaming at everyone. He was shouting filthiest of abuses and asking people to stand up.” He further added, “I didn't realise he was demanding that people rise to the national anthem tune. Before I could react, he landed a punch on my cheek. My wife was horrified as I took a few seconds to recover from the blow. By this time, the movie hall's security managed to pin him down and the cops took him away.”

    Agitated over this wrongful questioning of his patriotism by an “overzealous patriot”, Dasan said “I didn't know the movie's plot. How was I to know the national anthem would be played in the background in one of the scenes? Today it is me, tomorrow another unsuspecting movie-goer will be assaulted by an overzealous `patriot'.” “Mr Aamir Khan or the Censor Board should put an alert before the scene. We live in the times when people don't think twice before assaulting anyone, be it women or senior citizens,” Dasan said. Although he does not want his attacker to be punished any further, he did mention that there needs to be a proper mechanism to protect the people and we do agree with him.

    The Goregaon police said that the investigation would still continue, despite the family willing to forgive Madhukar. Apparently, the Ministry of Home Affairs had issued a circular last year stating that when an anthem in playing in a film, one is not expected to stand, “When in the course of a newsreel or documentary, anthem is played as a part of the film, it is not expected of the audience to stand as standing is bound to interrupt the exhibition of the film and would bring in disorder and confusion rather than add to the dignity of the anthem.” Well guys, we just have one thing to say, your hearts might be brimming with patriotism but that does not give you the power to beat anyone.

    But, while Bangladesh cricket continues to take positive strides, their players seem to be letting the nation down with their antics off the field.
    After bowling icon Rubel Hossain was remanded on rape charges in 2015, left-arm spinner Arafat Sunny has followed in the footsteps of his teammate, bringing bad name to the team.
    The 30-year-old Bangladesh cricketer has been arrested for uploading obscene photos of his girlfriend on social media, allegedly breaching strict internet laws.
    Police raided Sunny's home in the Dhaka suburb of Aminbazar on Sunday after his long-time girlfriend filed a complaint two weeks ago.
    "She said Sunny opened up a fake Facebook account in her name and posted their personal photos, which she found offensive and defamatory," local police chief Jamaluddin Mir said.
    "We have arrested him and sent him to the court, seeking to take him into custody for five days for questioning," he added.
    If found guilty, Sunny could face up to 14 years in jail or a fine of 10 million taka ($126,340).
    Reacting to the incident, Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) chief executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury said: "It seems to be a personal matter. We don't want to comment now, however, we are observing (the situation)".
    Apart from Sunny and Rubel, Bangladesh seamer Shahadat Hossain was also arrested in the recent years. The 30-year-old spent nearly two months in custody along with his wife on charges of torturing their 11-year-old domestic aid.

Honestly, it’s not every day that we see stalwarts bumping into each other, so when they do all we can hope for are some memorable moments that can be cherished by both the celebrities as well as their fans. Viru Paji and Baba Ramdev gave that moment to their fans when they not only clicked a picture together but also took to Twitter to sing praises for each other.     Gaius Appuleius Diocles may not be a name instantly recognisable to a 21st century audience, but he was arguably an athlete of the highest order in his day and a man who can undoubtedly lay claim to being the highest-earning sportsperson of all time.
    Diocles, a 2nd century charioteer, bagged $15 billion over the course of a career that saw him become the most prolific charioteer of his era. Wait, what? That's over four times the amount of Real Madrid's valuation of $3.645 billion - currently world's richest football club.

    Born in approximately 104 AD, Diocles was born in Lamecum - the capital of Lusitania which was a province of Emerita Augusta (modern-day Portugal). He began racing at a tender age of 18 in Ilerda (modern-day Catalonia) and quickly gained reputation that propelled him to the big leagues in Rome.
    Diocles, who was known as Lamecus (his racing name), rapidly rose through the ranks and soon became a crowd favourite. Out of the 4,257 races he participated in, Diocles won 1,462 and was placed in an additional 1,438 races (mostly finishing in second place).
    The Lusitanian finally called time on his 24-year-long career at the age of 42, with his achievements noted to stand the test of time.

Wow,” and you already know that a hilarious and sarcastic trip down the ‘presidential’ lane awaits you.     A FAT BOY SINCE CHILDHOOD!
    I had always been a fat guy since childhood. This carried on up to my college life where I would often ignore my health and be couch a potato. All this resulted in me being at the worst physical condition of my life. I was at a whopping 97kgs with all sorts of health problems such as back pain, excessive sweating and what not. 
    BEGINNING OF A NEW JOURNEY
    But one day in January 2014 at an office party I had a friend click my normal picture, to share with my family living far off. But I felt ashamed of myself. It was that day I took the pledge that I will transform my lifestyle, get healthy and fit. I started reading this book by Kris Gethin and started applying the principles in my daily life. This led to daily workouts, throwing away all oily and junk foods and following a 6-meal-a-day regime. There was no scope for cheating. However, in life, you always need to cross some hurdles to achieve results. My hurdles were long working hours, cash shortage on internship, traveling issues, managing meals in front of my new boss’s eyes. I used to stay at a men’s P.G and had to wake up at 6 am in the morning to cook my 3-4 meals and keep it hidden from the owner. Even my parents were shocked at this sight of discipline in their son when they visited me.
    THE FIRST REAL TRANSFORMATION
    This went on for 5-6 weeks but I could hardly see any visible results. However, I trusted the man and his process and kept going harder ahead. There were no cheat days, no dairy, fruits which made the journey even harder. But it was in the next 3-4 weeks, the results started showing. I started looking thinner, became stronger and started lifting heavy. Even my office manager started asking me for some diet tips. At the end of 12 weeks, I weighed myself and I had dropped a whooping 14kgs. I had become a completely different person- confident and happy.
    BACK TO SQUARE ONE! I tried to keep myself fit for a good few months but a setback in my career led me into depression and the old habits of binge eating came back. My dream job had been taken away from me unexpectedly. I did workout regularly but there was no motivation to push myself, or to be disciplined at all. Hence, NO RESULTS!
    A RESTART FOR THE BETTER 
    Once I got back on my feet I motivated myself enough to start over again and gradually started working out.  It was in October 2015 that I decided to do the 4weekstoShred by Kris Gethin, a daily video trainer series. I used to work night shifts that month, so that gave me the opportunity to incorporate double cardio daily. I used to prepare meals in the morning and take them to work later. I had a mind-blowing transformation in those 4weeks and went from 78Kg to 72Kg in just 28 days. My mind and soul got transformed too. I made that lifestyle my daily habit.
    CURRENT STAGE
    I still work out regularly, along with a 14 hour job (including my travel time), a stressful career in IT field and keep pushing myself to improve my health. I have managed to stay around the same weight for the past 1 year, but reducing my body fat and increasing muscle mass in the process.
    MY MESSAGE TO OTHERS I feel the main obstacle most of the people here in India face is excuses and time. Everyone in this world has stress and everyone feels that my problems are bigger than those of others. You have to come out of the excuses and give yourself purpose. I am a Software Developer, I have daily long stressful working hours of 9-10 hours , 4 hours of traveling every day but still I push myself harder each day to become a better version of myself. I can only manage a sleep of 3-4 hours on most days, but I make it up with my nutrition. If I can do that, so can you!

Just in case you are wondering who won the fight, let us give you a hint: the almost-naked strippers were hitting with bar stools. We bet you already know the result! This is what happens when you ask your girl to give you carnal sadomasochistic pleasures and she hits you not ‘in the feels’, but where you can’t feel anything (we are not talking about balls). The guy got more than what he bargained for!

    This kick-ass drama took place at the Carus Club, a popular brothel in the Galician town of Ribadeo, Spain. These women who clearly didn’t withhold themselves from this fight, took the bar stools and started whacking the shirtless guy over his head after he refused to leave. Reportedly, a woman in jeans and T-shirt sparked his anger when she picked up one of the bar stools and threatened him while others held her back. Don’t worry, you will enjoy watching this fight as the bachata music from Latin America plays in the backdrop throughout the video. 
    Jokes apart, this fight soon turned nasty and continued in the car park outside as well that left three people seriously injured including one person who suffered a broken leg.     These days, it has become very easy for people to draw ‘anti-nationalist’ connotation to anything and everything that others say and blame them for the same. That’s exactly what happened with the External Affairs Minister, Sushma Swaraj, who was accused on Twitter of helping only the Muslims. The tweet that was posted on both Swaraj’s as well as Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s accounts, mentioned that she was only helping the Muslims with visa issues while the Hindus were getting harassed.

    Being a true sport, Sushma Swaraj replied to the user in the best way possible. Calling Indians her people, she said that religion is not relevant for her.

    This is not the first time anyone is criticizing Swaraj, a few days ago, author Shobhaa De tried to troll the former and got hit by ‘Karma’ right in the feels. Had Swaraj done anything wrong or was shady in her tweets, people would have had a field day seeing her get trolled, but she has been doing a commendable job and has been appreciated both in India and abroad for the same.

    From helping a man get his wife’s passport to helping a son come back to India for his father’s last rites, Swaraj has always been prompt to not only reply but make sure that people get the needed help. Earlier, she came to the rescue of 10,000 migrant workers going hungry in the Gulf either because their salaries were withheld or they were laid off. She was even ranked in the 15 ‘Global Thinkers’ of 2016. She even warned the Amazon officials when they were selling tricolor doormats on their e-commerce platform. 
    Well, time and again, Sushma Swaraj has proved her mettle by helping the citizens and to say the least, she has put Twitter to good use in a time when politicians are using it only as a medium to malign the opposition and the establishment.

The outrage went till the extent of people suggesting that Karan Johar’s film ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ should be boycotted. Singer Abhijeet, known for making outrageous statements on Twitter, posted a homophobic tweet referring to Fawad Khan as Mrs. Karan Johar.

    It’s been months since ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’ released, but people have still been wondering if Karan Johar and Fawad Khan would ever come together again for a project, given the success of both ‘Kapoor And Sons’ and ‘Ae Dil Hai Mushkil’. Someone finally asked Karan Johar if he’s ever going to work with Fawad Khan again and he said, “I have great regards for Fawad Khan’s talent, which is why he featured in two of our films. But under the current circumstances, we don’t know where we’re heading. I think all great actors should find the best platforms. I hope Fawad finds the best too. I never want to go through what I went through again. Neither the situation, the circumstances, nor the apology. I felt weak, victimised and I don’t want to feel that again.”

    Looks like Fawad and Karan Johar may never team up again and we’re really hoping the film industry sees better days where art moves beyond politics and nationalism.
