Moqadis Tahira🆕 2 Posted April 13 Posted April 13 Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have arrived in Melbourne, marking the beginning of their four-day tour across Australia. The couple landed at Tullamarine Airport early Tuesday morning at around 6:30am, traveling on a Qantas flight. Their arrival reportedly took many passengers by surprise, as they were seated among them in business class. One traveler shared their unexpected experience, saying they had been sitting just in front of the couple without realizing it. They only discovered who they were after disembarking the aircraft. The passenger noted that in places like Los Angeles, spotting celebrities is more common, which made the moment feel less unusual once it was revealed. Another passenger commented on Prince Harry’s appearance after the long-haul journey, describing him as unusually fresh and well-presented after the flight from the United States. They also mentioned that airport staff presence hinted that someone notable was onboard. According to the same witness, Harry appeared relaxed and stylish in chinos and a crisp shirt, while Meghan Markle was not clearly noticed during disembarkation. After leaving the aircraft, the couple were escorted into a waiting convoy on the tarmac, which transported them directly to their hotel. Their scheduled engagements in Melbourne include visits to the Royal Children’s Hospital, the Australian National Veterans Arts Museum, and Whitten Oval, the headquarters of the Western Bulldogs AFL club, where they are expected to attend a Movember-related event. Following their Melbourne commitments, the couple will travel to Canberra. Prince Harry is set to visit the Australian War Memorial, meet Indigenous veterans, attend a reception hosted by Invictus Australia, and take part in the traditional Last Post Ceremony. He will later return to Melbourne for a cultural walking tour and a visit to a mental health organization, before delivering a keynote address at the InterEdge Summit. The tour will continue in Sydney, where the Duke and Duchess are expected to sail on Sydney Harbour with Invictus Australia and attend a Super Rugby Pacific match between the NSW Waratahs and Moana Pasifika. Their previous visit to Australia was in 2018 during a 16-day royal tour of the Pacific, shortly after their wedding. In 2020, the couple announced their decision to step back from senior royal duties, choosing instead to pursue financial independence while still retaining their royal titles. They are no longer working members of the British royal family. Prince Harry and Meghan share two children, Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet. 2 Quote
