As the country is returning back to normalcy in this Pandemic way of life, everything that was once a ‘normal’ thing is now starting to feel surreal. A thing as simple as going to a cinema to watch a film now seems like a funny experience.

As theatres have started opening all over the country, Rohit Shetty’s action movie Sooryavanshi opened to a record-breaking opening in theatres. Starring Akshay Kumar and Katrina Kaif in the lead roles, the movie is an addition to the expanding Singham Universe. 

With bigger stars, comes big money. So after scavenging some reports , here’s an estimated amount of money being charged by the cast of this movie:

Akshay Kumar, who is the centre of this cop drama and plays DCP Veer Surya, has apparently been paid around Rs 25 crore for the movie.

Katrina Kaif, who is playing the female lead in Sooryavanshi and the character of Surya’s wife, Dr. Ria has reportedly charged around Rs 10 crore for the film.

Actors Ajay Devgn and Ranveer Singh, who basically just played a cameo in the movie, did not charge anything for it in goodwill. 

Jackie Shroff, who plays Lashkar Chief Omar Hafeez , charged around Rs 1 crore for the role. Javed Jaaferi, who plays an IG Kabir Shroff was reportedly paid around Rs 50 lakh for the movie.

Director Rohit Shetty, who is helming the entire project, was reportedly paid around Rs 20 crore for directing this movie. The movie also stars Gulshan Grover in a negative role, who was paid around Rs 60 lakh for this role. 

The movie is running to packed houses and as per various media reports, the makers are looking forward to expanding this cop drama world further.
