People know Barack Obama as one of the coolest Presidents America has ever seen and someone who can mesmerize you within seconds with his words. However, not many people know about his younger days or the struggles he has gone through. Well, Netflix has come up with an original series, called βBarryβ that focuses on the journey of a young Barack Obama who arrived in New York City in the fall of 1981 to start his junior year at Columbia University. One look at the trailer and we bet you are already murmuring, βThis is definitely going to be on my binge-watch list.β
The story talks about the various social struggles that Barry faces, in a crime-ridden and racially charged environment, to maintain strained relationships with his mother born in Kansas, his estranged Kenyan father and his classmates. Barry is a great attempt at showcasing serious issues that America and the rest of the world are still grappling with. It will be on available to stream on Netflix on December 16.
