Veteran actor Dharmendra, who is known for delivering memorable performances in films like Sholay, Yaadon Ki Baarat, Chupke Chupke among others, is quite active on social media these days. He often shares anecdotes from his day-to-day life and interacts with fans. Recently, a Twitter user shared a few pictures of old beedi advertisements featuring the veteran star and his wife Hema Malini.  

Posting the old ad pictures, the Twitter user wrote, "Jab bidi ka ad superstar karte the (When superstars used to feature in beedi ads). Insert any hilarious caption".

After noticing the tweet, Dharmendra replied to the tweet revealing that during his younger days, anyone would print anything without taking permission. He wrote, "Tab …. bin pooche… koi bhi …. kuchh bhi …chhaap deta tha … bhala ho… in mauqa prassaton ka".

At last, the Twitter user thanked the veteran actor for clarification and apologised to him. He tweeted, "Thanks for Clarification Dharam Ji . Sorry hume toh pata nehin tha, hum ye old photo internet re dekhe aur socho such much mein stars Ad karte honge (Sorry I didn't know, I saw the picture on the internet and thought stars used to feature in ads). 

In the tweet, he even requested the actor to write a new poem. Here's the post:

For the unversed, Dharmendra and Hema Malini exchanged wedding vows in 1980 and are parents to two daughters, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. Dharmendra and Hema are counted among the most-loved film stars of Bollywood. The duo also shared amazing on-screen chemistry and worked together in hit films like Sholay, Seeta Aur Geeta, Jugnu among others.  

On the film front, Dharmendra was last seen in Yamla Pagla Deewana: Phir Se which was released in 2018. Currently, he has films like Apne 2 and Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani in his kitty.
