Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar, who was recently seen in Aanand L Rai's Atrangi Re, is juggling between several interesting projects. Well, the actor is not in a mood to slow down as he has announced a new film. Sharing a fun teaser on Twitter, the Khiladi star announced Selfiee co-starring Emraan Hashmi. Backed by Karan Johar, it is the official Hindi remake of the Malayalam movie Driving Licence and will be directed by Good Newwz fame Raj Mehta.

Sharing the announcement teaser on Twitter, the superstar wrote, "Presenting #Selfiee, a journey that will drive you towards loads of entertainment, laughter & emotions. Shooting begins soon!"

In the 49-second clip, Akshay is seen dancing his heart out with co-star Emraan Hashmi. The announcement has left social media users excited as Akshay and Emraan are working together for the first time in Selfiee.

'#Selfiee' has been trending on Twitter as fans are now eagerly waiting for the film. Reacting to the teaser, a user wrote, "BAWAAAL... ekdum dumdaaar!! Sabko cater karega.. friends who've seen original say it's absolutely kickass... WOW!!"

Another Twitter user said, "It was my dream for these two to make a movie together and today it came true". For the unversed, Driving Licence was released in 2019 and featured Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjarammoodu in lead roles. The film revolved around an actor who wants a driving license urgently and his ardent fan, a Motor Vehicle Inspector who agrees on delivering it illegally.  

As suggested by the teaser, Akshay is playing the role of a superstar in Selfiee while Emraan will be seen as his fan. Well, this sounds interesting and we're looking forward to witnessing their camaraderie on the big screen.
