After the magnum opus that was Padmaavat, Sanjay Leela Bhansali is back with yet another grand spectacle titled Gangubai Kathiawadi. 

Starring Alia Bhatt in the lead, the film also features Ajay Devgn in a prominent role. 

The teaser of the film was released last year and now, we have finally got its trailer.

The 3-minute-and-15-second Gangubai Kathiawadi trailer is full of dialoguebaazi, action and swag. 

Sanjay Leela Bhansali has presented the film in such a way that it has its trademark stamp of grandeur at display but also goes into the “Angry Young Man” mode of the ‘70s. 

Alia displays a range of emotions and going by the trailer, it is for sure going to be a career-defining film for her.

As for Ajay Devgn, his presence and swag is enough for the audience to throng to the theatres.

The trailer also features Jim Sarbh who was in Bhansali's previous film Padmaavat and Vijay Raaz playing the antagonist Razia Bai, a eunuch.

The teaser of the film was quite subtle but the trailer is the extreme opposite be it the background score, the dialogues or the treatment. 

Gangubai Kathiawadi has the potential to become the first big hit of the Hindi cinema post reopening of theatres after the Omicron scare.

Reacting to the trailer, one user wrote, “Alia showing signs of a true superstar who's trying to revive bollywood by releasing her film in theaters ..True superstar”.

Another tweeted, “She's stunning and powerful in every single frame. This is your true time alooo Loudly crying faceRed heart You've made us all proud. Time to put our crown”.

The first trailer has done the trick, it now has to be seen what else Sanjay Leela Bhansali has in store for the audience. 

Gangubai Kathiawadi is slated to release in theatres on February 25.
