After Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi, which turned out to be a big box office success, Akshay Kumar is returning to the big screen with masala entertainer Bachchhan Paandey, a remake of the Telugu hit Jigarthanda.  

Directed by Farhad Samji and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala under Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, Bachchhan Paandey also stars Arshad Warsi, Kriti Sanon and Jacqueline Fernandez.  

The trailer of the film was released a couple of weeks back and received a good response. Later, the makers also released a couple of songs from the film.

However, it seems Akshay Kumar fans aren’t happy with the way the makers have planned the promotions of the film. 

Recently, they took to Twitter and expressed their disappointment by trending #ShameOnNadiadwalaGrandson”. 

Tweeting with the specific keyword, one Akshay Kumar fan wrote, “That's why South films are overtaking Bollywood as at least they take their promotion seriously. SHAME ON NADIADWALA GRANDSON”. 

Another tweeted, “This man is not just an actor but the emotion of millions #AkshayKumar𓃵 is most respected and Followed celebrity. Start the promotion of #BachchhanPaandey SHAME ON NADIADWALA GRANDSON”. 

One fan commented, “SHAME ON NADIADWALA GRANDSON" for not promoting one of the biggest mass movie of the year”.

Sharing the pictures of the way Sooryavanshi’s billboards were put up around the city, a fan wrote, “Who stopping you for doing such ground level promotion @NGEMovies... For massy movies ground level promotion is must... #AkshayKumar dangerous Bachchan pandey posters on metro cities could do wonder at the box office. SHAME ON NADIADWALA GRANDSON”. 

A fan even compared the promotions of Bachchhan Paandey to Ajay Devgn’s Rudra web series and wrote, “OTT content Rudra is getting promoted 10 times better than Bachchan pandey @NGEMovies SHAME ON NADIADWALA GRANDSON”.

Bachchhan Paandey is Akshay Kumar’s fourth film with Farhad Saamji after Entertainment, Housefull 3 and Housefull 4.

This also marks Akshay’s return to the mass genre after 9 years. His last film in the genre was Boss in 2013.
