While many people may just know her from the show as 'Pharmaa' translating to Mother of Pharmaceutical in India, she's been a very active personality with a history of promoting and investing in Made in India ventures.

Namita is married to Vikas Thapar, who's reported to have worked in The United States for eBay and PayPal. He's the current President of Corporate Development, Strategy & Finance at Emcure Pharmaceuticals.

Founded by Namita's father Satish Mehta, who's the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Managing Director (MD), Emcure Pharmaceuticals is set to be the next hit the market with a Rs 5000 crore IPO.

According to reports, the company's IPO will comprise of fresh issuance of equity shares worth ₹1,100 crores.
