Happy Raksha Bandhan: Indian Cricket Stars Reveal Their Emotional Side On Social Media

Busy tormenting the Sri Lankans on the ongoing tour, Indian captain Virat Kohli took out some time to showcase his love and gratitude for his elder sister on the eve of Raksha Bandhan.

Taking to Twitter, Kohli wished everyone Happy Raksha Bandhan with an emotional message for his sister. "A very Happy Rakshabandhan to everyone across the world celebrating, missing Didi and everyone at home today," he tweeted.

The 28-year-old is currently in Sri Lanka for a three-match Test series which has already been sealed by India with a 2-0 lead. The Indian team will also play five ODIs and a one-off T20 International in the island nation.

Following their recent victories in the first two Tests at Galle and Colombo, Kohli became the first-ever Indian skipper to win two Test series in Sri Lanka. He also extended his dream run as captain to eighth consecutive Test series win, surpassing the great Steve Waugh who had seven consecutive series triumphs to his name. Ricky Ponting holds the record with nine series wins in a row.

Apart from Kohli, his teammate Ajinkya Rahane and World Cup winner Suresh Raina also wished their respective sisters on Raksha Bandhan.
