ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Saturday that the sacrifices of Benazir Bhutto for democracy are before everyone and said she hopes the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) will not back out from strengthening the democratic process in the country.

Addressing media after the inauguration of Azadi Train project here, Aurangzeb implored other political parties to also take steps to strengthen democracy.

Taking a jibe at Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf chief Imran Khan, the minister said that Imran can?t fathom the support being shown by masses for Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif and that it is Imran?s time to ?go home?.

She also said that the country is on its path to become an economic hub and that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi will continue with Nawaz?s policies of economic growth.
