This Kerala Wedding Hasnt Been Hit By The Demonetisation Bug As They Replicate The Akshardham Temple As The Venue

The cash crunch is forcing people to tone down their budgets for weddings, vacations and has even plagued the daily functioning of millions in the country. While the country was adjusting to the demonetisation scheme, the news about the 500 crore wedding in Kerala took everyone by surprise. It seems like people down South have truck loads of money and they take their marriages very seriously because another Kerala wedding is making waves right now as the venue was a model designed just like the Akshardham Temple.

The reception venue was designed on the lines of the Akshardham temple but the entrance design was no less magnificent. The entrance was designed on the lines of the Mysore palace. The wedding in question was the union between Biju Ramesh’s daughter Megha and former revenue minister Adoor Prakash’s son, Ajaykrishnan.

The guest list included around 20,000 guests who witnessed numerous entertainment performances. Liquor baron, Biju Ramesh has already been a controversial figure in the past, courtesy his finances and had even claimed that he faced a cash crunch!Β

Biju is the managing director of the Rajadhani business empire in Kerala. We live in a country where we are not just divided by borders of states, but many intangible lines divide us on the basis of spending power we all have. Clearly demonetisation did not hit these families at all.
