Apple is all set to launch the iPhone 8 on 12th September (Not confirmed yet) and according to The New York Times, the re-designed device will sell for $999. Now, that might translate to a very high Indian price due to import duty and other taxes and can be expected to sell upwards of INR 80,000.

Apple is expected to introduce three new models next month where two will be slightly redesigned with updated components and on will be the super high-end iPhone 8, touted to have a brand new design. The device is expected to have a near bezel-less front display and the speculation is that Apple will price it higher than the iPhone 7 Plus due to the fact it has an OLED screen and will not be available as extensively as the iPhone 7s and 7s Plus. This is the first time the price for the iPhone 8 has been reported, especially since the announcement is right around the corner.

The Times has also suggested that all model will have wireless charging capabilities and the iPhone 8 will have 3D facial recognition technology. The design of the phone has been leaked via firmware updates Apple accidentally released last month. There have been plenty of dummies of the device that has surfaced online which shows the precise details of the design as well. 

The price has not been officially confirmed as of now and we will only know the final price of the device once Apple announces it officially later next month.
