India and Pakistan share one of the biggest rivalries in sport. And, cricket probably brings the best out of the two nations. Their clashes on the pitch are cherished across the globe, sparking a fan frenzy like no other.

But despite being arch-rivals, there still exists a lot of mutual respect not only amongst the players but also the fans from both sides. If Virat Kohli's fan in Pakistan hoisted the Indian tricolour, Shahid Afridi's supporter in India was seen sporting his national cricket jersey.

The Boxing Day Test between Australia and Pakistan witnessed a similar incident where a fan's love for India's limited-overs skipper, MS Dhoni, prevailed in unfamiliar territory.

The Indian team was not in action but that didn't deter Dhoni's Pakistani fan in showcasing his support for the Indian captain. But, what really stood out was the name of Dhoni on the back of Pakistan cricket team's jersey.

The Pakistani fan became the centre of attraction on the third day after the TV cameras spotted him bearing Dhoni's name and his number '7' on the green jersey. 

Dhoni surely enjoys solid support anywhere India plays but it was heartening to see Dhoni's fan professing his admiration for the Indian captain during Pakistan's clash with Australia.

The incident also highlighted the fact the even rivals can have mutual respect for each other despite everything.
