The 70th founding day of Azad Jammu and Kashmir state is being observed today with a renewed pledge to continue struggle until liberation of Indian Occupied Kashmir and its accession to Pakistan.

A public holiday has been declared throughout the state to mark the day.

Flag hoisting ceremonies, seminars, and prayer ceremonies are also scheduled to be held across the state to mark the occasion.

Meanwhile, AJK President Sardar Masood Khan has urged the international community to take notice of grave human rights violations by Indian forces in Occupied Kashmir.

Speaking to Danish parliamentarians at the Danish Institute of Human Rights in Copenhagen, he said India was scuttling all efforts aimed at peaceful resolution of Kashmir issue.

He said New Delhi was avoiding talks and dubbing the basic right of self-defence of Kashmiris as terrorism.

Danish parliamentarian Zenia Stampe said there can be no compromise on human rights violations.
