Ronaldo May Have Won FIFA's Player Of The Year Award But Messi's Reaction Stole The Show

For the second year in a row, Cristiano Ronaldo has been crowned FIFA's men's player of the year, but the one thing that stole the show – and everyone's hearts – was Lionel Messi's reaction.

Marking his fifth individual FIFA award overall, the Real Madrid star beat his Barcelona rival, as well as Neymar, to take home the prize. Moreover, he didn't forget to tip his hat to Messi, who pushed him all the way last season, saying, “Thank you, the guys who voted on me. And a mention to Lionel [Messi] and Neymar.”

He continued, "My team-mates, my coach, my president, they support all the year so I say thank you to them. We are in England for the first time and I win consecutive efforts so it is a great moment for me. I appreciate the support, thank you very much. It's great to be here around these amazing players. I'm so happy, guys. Thank you very much.”

Even though he didn't win, Messi proved what a classy guy he is with his reaction. He had a big smile and not even a hint of jealousy or anger as he watched Ronaldo collect his prize. His reaction immediately started getting a lot of praise online with people just being in awe of how humble he actually is.

People started comparing his reaction to when Ronaldo watched Messi win one of his five Ballon d'Ors.

But, some people also pointed out that this is unfair since that account used that specific picture of Ronaldo to make him look petty.

The difference is called "pictures timed perfectly to fit the 'i hate Ronaldo' agenda" ð´

Dafaq is the bias here "lets use this specific picture of Ronaldo to make him look bad and Messi smiling to make him look good" stupid asf.

See, Ronaldo is also quite humble.

Ronaldo was asked "is this the end of the Messi era?"

His response: "No, it is not. Because Messi and I live in the same era."

Everyone can pit them both of them against each other but no one can deny they're both excellent players.
