LAHORE: Body of a woman was found in the room of a hotel situated in the defence area of the city, on early Thursday morning, informed Police.

Police have identified the deceased as Nazia, a resident of Sheikhupra and claims that the initial investigation suggested that she was killed by her husband, Ali.

The suspect is on the run.

The cause of her death is believed to be strangulation. Moreover, the law enforcement personnel have claimed to arrest the man on whose name the said room was booked. 

The body of deceased has been shifted to a morgue for medico-legal examination.
