As much as we'd like to deny, but the truth is, India hasn't seen a bigger star like Salman Khan in a while. He's undeniably acquired generations of fans, one senseless/romantic (and hilarious) movie at a time, and established himself as Box Office's luckiest gemstone (face). Men, women, kids, bodyguards, Dabangg humans—every kind of species love him equally and dearly. There's something about Salman. 

But while his popularity is a big, welcome discussion among the human herd, there's not much that's talked about his menswear game. Except, that he usually wears suits, looks his best on Bigg Boss and hardly ever cares about what the world says. And sometimes, ventures into the tacky lane too. Like this time around, at the red carpet of Star Screen Awards 2017, where his footwear really made us question our existence.

Allow us to breathe and take this moment in. Metallic toe cap, studded body, metallic heel and slight perforations for added drama (not sure if 'added' was needed)—there's something horribly badass about Salman's shoes here. Only difference: it's 'horribly' badass. No matter how much the actor tries to justify his choice here, there's no way this pair deserved a public outing. A public apology sounds more appropriate. Agreed, printed dinner jackets really need the light of great footwear sometimes, but that doesn't mean you have it void of taste and sanity.

Clearly, with this simple pair, Salman took his well-fitted top half and bottom-half abilities to "I somehow lost myself somewhere" territory. Something, that really seems uncalled for. If it wasn't for a classic colour way here (and featured loud prints/pop colours instead), this outfit could have easily miffed us in excessive amounts. Having said that, today, we're passing this off as a rare mistake from the actor. Since in the recent past, he's been clicked in some great suits, well cut leather dress shoes and in anything but weird-arse footwear choices.
