Apple has filed a new patent, which might just baffle you because they are seriously looking into foldable/bendable phones. No, I am not talking about ‘bendgate’ when the iPhone 6 and 6 plus would simply bend in your pocket. I am talking about a phone by Apple that they want to intentionally bend.

Patently Apple has come to the conclusion that the company is currently working on a cover/case that twists. The case is said to have strain sensor, which will warn you if you are twisting your phone too far. It was also revealed that a major Apple supplier came out with a bendable plastic screen that got Apple fans excited.

Now we all know that filing a patent doesn’t necessarily mean that Apple will actually go ahead with this concept anytime soon. However, one cannot ignore that a flexible screen does have practical uses; for starters, it can take more abuse. Regardless of what the outcome is, Apple will keep making us wonder as to what can be expected from them in the coming years.
