Meet Shaikha Mozah Al Maktoum. She’s officially Dubai’s first woman commercial pilot. And that’s definitely a milestone that deserves to be celebrated.

The internet is collectively congratulating Shaikha for paving way for more women commercial pilots to fly high.

She also happens to belong to the ruling family of Dubai. Her aunt, Sheikha Lateefa, a renowned artist shared this picture of her dressed in uniform to make the announcement official.

“My niece Shaikha Mozah Al Maktoum our first female pilot from the family on her first assisted flight as a commercial pilot. Proud of you ! The sky is not the limit. As long as you can dream it you can achieve it.”

Mozah became a certified pilot last year when she completed the APP First Officer programme at the CAE Oxford Aviation Academy in Phoenix, Arizona.

Her Instagram feed is proof that she’s truly passionate about being a pilot.
