Rohit Singh, 17, was sitting on his terrace with his cousin when he noticed that the tail of an airplane  flying overhead was on fire. He notified his father and they immediately informed the police. Their presence of mind and swiftness ended up saving the lives of 194 passengers that were onboard!

The Bengaluru-bound flight had just taken off from Delhi when these two teenage boys spotted smoke and took action. They contacted the police at 7:40pm and the flight ended up making an emergency landing at 7:47 pm. This extremely quick response by the police and the flight captain ended up saving 194 lives!

It was later discovered that one of the GoAir flight’s engines had failed. All the necessary precautions were taken during the emergency landing with fire safety and ambulances on standby to handle any untoward situation.

Well, kudos to these teenagers and their alertness that prevented this incident from turning into a tragedy!
