It’s been 4 years since we saw an Ayan Mukerji film. (Well, not really since I watched YJHD for the 48th time just last night, but whatever). The last time he put on the director’s hat, we got the best romantic film of all time.

After the success of films like ‘Wake Up Sid’ and ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, any director would be foolish not to stick with Ranbir Kapoor as his leading man. That way, Ayan is the smartest director around. That his next film stars Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt is common knowledge.

And honestly, it’s been a constant reason for some undying excitement for all these months. Because Ranbir and Alia together are going to be one hell of a package with their brilliant performances (which is kind of a given now) and of course, the good looks.

But this new report by Times Now suggests that Ayan might just have hit the jackpot by roping in Amitabh Bachchan for the same film that is tentatively called ‘Dragon’. No, not for a cameo, but for a full fledged character role! Okay, we’re going to need to make a list of things to fathom here.
