As if demonetisation did not leave us all in a weird frenzy, the aftermath has been pretty hysterical too. Remember skipping work just to queue up outside ATM’s to get cash? Yes. Well it turns out that the nature of the problem is rather different, but the money crisis is just not dying down. Recently, an SBI ATM machine in Delhi dispensed fake 2000 rupee notes which had ‘Children Bank Of India’ printed on them. Imagine that?

As expected, the weird incident became the butt of jokes for everyone.
''Why should adults have all the fun?'' - Governor, Children Bank of India.
— sam luvs u (@_iamaloverboy) February 22, 2017When you talk about being fake, you automatically insert Rahul Gandhi in it.
Ideally this fake Rs.2000 notes of "Children Bank of India" should have Rahul Gandhi's photo on it instead of MKG pic.twitter.com/VOcEHVApPk
— Rohini Singh (@RohiniSingh_ET) February 22, 2017Wow..SBI ATM dispensing fake Rs 2k notes from Children Bank of India.. Who is the governor of this Children Bank of India ? Rahul Gandhi ji?
— Paresh Rawal fan (@Babu_Bhaiyaa) February 22, 2017Also, the Modi connection. Can’t miss that!
Instead of Children Bank of India it should have been Bal Narendra Bank of Modia - The successful story of demonetization!!
— NG #withRG (@NG_withINC) February 22, 2017"Who is the Governor of Children Bank of India ?"
.
.
"Baal Narendra" ??
And then, people joked about who was responsible.
how did "Children Bank of India" issued fake notes end up in atm? what were people responsible for replenishment doing?
— ATANU ROY (@atanunarrates) February 22, 2017More abuses for our ‘Sarkar’.
#चूरनछापसरकार
Government is advised to rename the "Reserve Bank of India " as the "Children Bank of India"
-By Order
Children Bank of India or Faqir Bank of India.
— Vikram Bdv (@VikramBdv) February 22, 2017It might be funny but it’s also pretty shocking that the madness that is demonetisation still has its claws deep in the system.
