A Chinese Company Blatantly Copied The iPhone X And Samsung At The Same Time

I think it's safe to say that one of the things Chinese companies are really good at is copying others. These companies lift ideas, designs and blatantly paste them onto their own products. Leagoo, another Chinese company showcasing products at the Mobile World Congress had the courage to showcase their new smartphone.

It's a blatant copy of Apple's iPhone X in terms of design and the company didn't stop there. Leagoo could not even come up with an original name for their smartphone and decided to call it the “S9”. The smartphone is basically an INR 20,000 rip off of the iPhone X and even has the notch. Of course, there's a good reason for Apple to include the notch on their phone as it houses infrared dot projectors which are seemingly missing from Leagoo's S9. It does, however, help in unlocking the smartphone with your face, but we can't be too certain as to how it functions.

That's how you do two flagships at the same time: include a notch and call it the S9 #MWC18 pic.twitter.com/XgZFQVZOjg

In terms of other specs, it has a 5.85-inch LCD display, 4GB of Ram and 32 GB internal storage. If this wasn't enough, League also copied the camera design from the iPhone X and houses two 13-megapixel sensors. Sure, it may look like a great phone but at the end of the day, it's still a Chinese rip off that nobody wants to show off. Of course, not all Chinese companies like to copy western ideas, as Vivo's latest concept phone is definitely a head turner.

Stay tuned to see even stranger things that may be spotted at MWC this year. We will keep you updated on all the weird things we come across.
