'Celebrity fashion' is now a brand in itself. Something, that every famous man is responsible for inventing and for turning into mainstream-interest. As of today, every Tom, Dick, Harry (or Rahul) wants to know what the hell are the celebrities wearing or stocking in their expensive wardrobes. Everyone's nosy about #CelebStyle.
But while expensive brands are crucial for popular wardrobes, affordable ones too hold a place of their own. It's all about appealing to the masses, after all (not everyone has the money). And that's exactly why everyday, mall brands please our souls every time an actor's spotted in them. To help our homeboys, we've conceived a list of the most affordable, celebrity-approved brands to own:
1. FOREVER 21A post shared by Nikita Jaisinghani (@nikitajaisinghani) on Jan 29, 2018 at 7:27pm PST
With ample visibility online and stores at most Indian malls (+ price-sensitive pieces), you probably don't want to give this brand a miss. Plus, while for one, this could be the go-to destination for basics like solid coloured T-shirts/shirts, for hypebeasts — Forever 21 also stocks on some insane ripped jeans. Spot its monochrome branding and head right in. Shop and exit with pop yellow bags. Easy.
2. SKULTA post shared by SKULT (@skultofficial) on Jul 24, 2017 at 3:37am PDT
Holding Athleisure by its very neck, Shahid's self-owned label 'Skult' is style+utility, blended into an array of joggers, T-shirts, bomber jackets etc. One look at any piece will cast shadows of the actor's relatable gym style and an everyday wardrobe that he swears by. Incentive, it's affordable as hell.
3. ZARAA post shared by Pranav Sood (@soodpranav) on Feb 22, 2018 at 6:45am PST
We all know ZARA. The world wears ZARA. And obviously, because it's probably the fastest streetwear brand in the fashion space today. It's edgy, quirky, hypebeast, minimal, maximal — basically, anything you want the brand to be. This is a 'something for everyone' kinda deal.
4. KOOVSA post shared by KOOVSMAN (@koovsman) on Sep 21, 2017 at 11:13pm PDT
Agreed, Koovs stocks on multiple brands under it's international-fashion umbrella. But knock knock, the brand boasts of self-made apparel/accessories as well. So no surprises here, it's a haunt for most celebrities/stylists curating an outfit for appearances+red-carpet events. And since it's a complete bang for your buck, we're seeing a double whammy here.
5. HRXA post shared by HRX (@hrxbrand) on Aug 30, 2017 at 6:41am PDT
Once again owned by a Bollywood A-lister, HRX is Hrithik Roshan's style-baby. And stocks on the most terrific workout gear, training apparel and easy-to-buy products in performance fabrics. If you're waiting to sweat in celebrity-approved gear, HRX's apparel in neutral colours and practical silhouettes should be your haunt.
6. JACK & JONESA post shared by KARTIK AARYAN (@kartikaaryan) on Feb 7, 2018 at 8:35pm PST
It's hard to imagine what Jack & Jones doesn't stock on. But if there's anything that makes J&J hugely popular in India, is its endless prints/patterns, that come in versions of T-shirts, shirts, jeans, jackets, socks, or whatever's on your mind. Besides, Jack & Jone's innerwear is quite popular among the Indian youth too.
7. H&MA post shared by A K S H A Y T Y A G I (@thetyagiakshay) on Sep 27, 2017 at 6:39pm PDT
OG basics, OG winter wear, OG anything that a guy demands, is what you'd find at an H&M store. However, the brand's a lot more minimal than the rest of the list here or let's say, it's minimally maximalist. While you may see a lot of ballistic prints at the stores, most of the apparel's understated. 'Simple, timeless, functional' is H&M's anthem.
