Google or should we say Alphabet (The parent company) has been dethroned by Amazon to be the world's second most valuable company in the world. The two companies have been fierce competitors for several years where both companies have competing products that do almost the same job.

Both companies are in the business of smart assistant, home delivery and enterprise cloud solutions. Today, Amazon is the second most valuable company in the world dropping Alphabet to the third place.

The most valuable company in the world is still Apple and firmly holds its position at the top, thanks to its popular products like the iPhone, iPad and MacBook laptops. Amazon now has a market value of $766.3 billion which is a 35 percent in stock price growth since last year.
