The Trailer Of Noor Is Out And We Cant Wait To See Sonakshi Sinha andamp Kanan Gill As BFFs

If the trailer of Sonakshi Sinha’s ‘Noor’ is anything to go by, the film will be a super entertaining watch. ‘Noor’ is a film based on Saba Imtiaz’s novel ‘Karachi, You’re Killing Me!’ and traces the life of a journalist Noor living in Mumbai. Goofy, bubbly and real, Noor is every city girl.

From struggling to hold her drink,

to struggling on the treadmill,

she is any millennial trying to balance work and social life. Giving her company is Kanan Gill, who plays her BFF (and bounceboard) in the film.

Talking to TOI, he said about his character, “He owns a restaurant in London so he’s constantly shuttling between the UK and India. He’s a positive character and tries to find humour in every situation. At the same time, he also serves as a reality check for people around him. For the role, Sunhil Sippy gave me references of comedians like Eddie Izzard, who is my favourite. I was encouraged that he and I have a similar sense of humour.”

The ‘twist’ in the trailer comes when Sonakshi decides to turn into a ‘tedhi savitri’

And, of course, there’s more to the plot and the trailer only gives a glimpse into it. ‘Noor’ seems like a fun watch, and we can’t wait to see how Kanan Gill fares on this litmus test of acting. The film hits theatres on 21st April.
