A Football Fan Was Banned From The Stadium, So He Hired A Crane To Watch The Match

How far can you go to watch your favourite sports team play your favourite match? Buy a ticket the cost of your entire month's salary? Ditch your best friend's wedding? Leave your bride at the altar?Β

The love of a game is like a lifelong crush which only gets better with time. While cricket is a religion in India, football enjoys a rather loyal fandom the world over. There are two types of sports fans in the world – one who are simply fond of a game and like to watch it over beer and nachos, and the second type who worship the sport and can do anything for it.Β

One such fan from Turkey hired a crane to watch a football match after he was banned from entering the stadium. The match was being played between his favourite football club Denizlispor and Gaziantepspor in Turkey.Β

For some reason, he had been banned from entering the stadium (we suspect it must have been his over-enthusiasm). The ban is valid for 12 months, so he did the next best thing he could!Β

Looks like his effort didn't go waste, as the team he supported, the Denizlispors, won the match by with impressive 5-0 win.Β

Now that's called dedication! But he's not the only one – back home, we have the Sudhir Kumar Gautam, the Indian cricket team's most famous fan. The 37-year-old who hails from Bihar is known for having attended every home match played by the Indian cricket team since 2003.Β

He can often be seen in stands with his body painted in colours of the tricolour and Sachin Tendulkar's jersey. So great was his dedication towards the Indian team that he even postponed his wedding in order to attend a match.
