Over the years, Mahendra Singh Dhoni has established a reputation as one of the most iconic and popular cricketers on the planet. While his finishing abilities with the willow has earned him the tag of one of the best finishers in the world, Dhoni's calm and composed leadership aided Indian cricket during his captaincy days.

Even when he's standing patiently behind the stumps, Dhoni is rarely out of the game. His lightening quick glovework has often sent some of the best batsmen in the world back into the pavilion. Even in the ongoing season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), all those things - explosive batting, impeccable leadership skills and breath-taking glovework - that Dhoni brings to the table has understandably struck a chord with the fans.

But, it seems that Dhoni always tends to find a new way to earn plaudits from the cricket fans. The Chennai Super Kings (CSK) captain once again won hearts, only this time for his deed off the field. The former Indian skipper was seen spending quality time with the Ground staff of the Chepauk and Pune stadiums on the International Labour Day.

The official Twitter handle of the Chennai franchise shared the photos of their 'Thala' in the company of the hard-working groundsmen whose efforts often go unnoticed. "A super happy #InternationalWorkersDay to each and everyone who contributes to the welfare of the good game. A big shout out to the ground staff in Chepauk and Pune! #whistlepodu #Yellove," Chennai Super Kings tweeted.

As soon as the picture were shared online, the cricket fans couldn't stop themselves from lauding Dhoni for his touching gesture for the men who play a pivotal role in the proceedings of a cricket match.
