Shah Rukh Khan, the name that has ruled hearts in Bollywood for more than two decades. An ordinary Delhi guy who came to Mumbai with starry dreams in his eyes, even he wouldn’t have guessed the kind of love and fame he would earn. His story is as filmy as his career. The king of Bollywood completed 25 years in the industry yesterday, and the charm has not worn off yet.

Shah Rukh, who is known for his sharp wit as fondly as for his films, acknowledged the milestone with a tweet:

25 yrs in Mumbai, which has given me my life. For the 1st time at the opening of RC vfx new office  I felt, I must have done something rite.

Beginning from television shows like ‘Fauji’ and ‘Circus’, Shah Rukh entered into the industry as a complete outsider. His hunger for success and his mad passion for hard work drove him to crazy heights. From ‘Baazigar’ to ‘Dil Toh Pagal Hai’, and ‘DDLJ’ to ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai’, Shah Rukh managed to hypnotize the audience with his charm and confidence. A whole generation grew up on the SRK phenomenon, as he defined romance for them.

Ruling the film industry for a quarter of a century, Shah Rukh established himself as the undisputed king of Bollywood. Even after unparalleled success, the 51-year-old never stopped working his ass off. A known workaholic, he sleeps for 4-5 hours a day and even today, works with same passion and energy he had in his younger days. Like he once said:

“Every morning I wake up and think of the same thing that is the first shot of my life so I better make it stick”.

There are miles to travel, this way or that.
