We all have heard of buyer's remorse but get ready for an extreme case of seller's remorse. Or, maybe just a well-thought-out plan to rob someone. In one sentence, the whole story is – guy sells something, takes all the money from the buyer, and then steals back the very thing he sold. That's wild from the start to the finish, tbh. And, it gets even wilder considering that the 'thing' in question is a freaking Audi worth over â¹15 lakhs.
Okay, so the story begins with Manoj Singhal – our culprit – wanting to sell his Audi and after seeing an advertisement, Hazrat Nizamuddin – our victim – contacted him and made a deal. Everything was fixed and Hazrat was supposed to pay â¹17,50,000 for the car, so he took the car after paying â¹50,000 in cash and then transferred â¹14 lakhs online. The car would've been transferred in his name after the final payment of â¹3 lakhs. Everything seems pretty cool till now, right?

Now, comes the epic betrayal. The day the incident took place, Hazrat gave Singhal a blank cheque and asked him to transfer the ownership. But, when he returned outside, the car was gone.

When he approached Singhal again, he was threatened and told to not contact him again. Obviously, a police complaint was filed but, as soon as the culprit got to know about it, he used that very same blank cheque to withdraw â¹6 lakhs.

And, here comes the twist – Manoj actually went and filed a case of his own against the victim, saying that the cheque was dishonoured by the bank. Then, he also claimed that the car was actually stolen by Hazrat.

But, the police saw through his lies and now, he has been charged with theft and criminal breach of trust. What a wild story, right?
