Ask someone in Delhi what month this is and they will tell you, “It's June”. But for the people in Mumbai, 'June' does not exist in their calendar, what exists instead, is the 'month of monsoon'.
While, we make plans according to our schedule and whether our friends are available or not; Mumbaikars are probably checking the roads and weather apps to make plans, “Today it rained less, I think a swimming costume will be enough to travel to other part of Mumbai, instead of taking out a boat unlike other days.”

Ok, that was a lame joke! But, I am sure the feelings aren't any different for the people in Mumbai. People are currently surrounded by so much water right now, that every footpath gives them Marine Drive feels.

Reportedly, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the Colaba observatory and the Santacruz observatory recorded 35.8 mm and 18.8 mm rainfall respectively this morning in nearly four and a half hours. Mumbai is struggling big time already and these are just pre-monsoon showers. We can only imagine how worse things are going to get from here on.

However, no amount of rain can dampen the spirit of Mumbai and this time too, people came forward to help fellow residents with whatever they could do in their own capacity, from sending live updates, places to avoid and providing them with helpline numbers in case they need help. And like always, Mumbai traffic cops turned out to be real heroes, who didn't care about themselves and stood in the heavy rains for hours, just to help people stuck on roads. We truly salute their spirit.

On one hand, where Mumbaikars are busy struggling with the deluge, severe water logging, and transport being majorly hit; Twitter on the other hands is busy doing what it does best – rubbing salt on their woes, or should I say, adding more water to their miseries with these hilarious memes.
