The Galaxy S8 is all set to launch in India very soon, however, there has been one noticeable feature that Samsung didn’t really change for the new flagship device and that is the camera. However, there has been a leaked prototype picture, which shows us that Samsung was indeed testing a Galaxy S8+ with a dual camera setup.

These pictures were shared on Chinese Social media website Weibo by user KK (Known for reliable leaks) and it is quite clear that the prototype has a dual camera setup in a vertical arrangement. It is expected that the new iPhone might have a similar setup but it seems like Samsung is already ahead of the curve. One can also notice that this prototype of the Galaxy S8+ does not have a fingerprint sensor. One could speculate that the fingerprint sensor was ditched entirely or Samsung might have embedded the fingerprint sensor under the display.

Originally reported by The Verge, Samsung told the website that they “ had not found any real value” for a phone that would sport a dual camera setup. The Dual camera setup has been a very popular addition to the iPhone 7 Plus which enables the lens to take portrait pictures and have greater zooming capabilities. The LG G6 also has a dual camera setup which lets the smartphone take pictures using the wide-angle lens.
