While the only thing everyone can talk about right now is the FIFA World Cup 2018, I would like to take a moment to share a throwback. Instead of Throwback Thursday, it's time for Throwback Tuesday and we're going to talk about the FIFA World Cup 2010.
It was that great year and that World Cup that gave us the iconic 'Waka Waka', a song everyone still knows and sings to this day. Here watch it again, there's never a bad time for Shakira.
There's another great thing about this song – this video is where Shakira and Spanish footballer Gerard Piqué met for the first time and have been giving us some major relationship 'goals' (geddit? Okay, I'm sorry) since then.
Gerard is 10 years younger to Shakira but unlike size, age does not matter. After meeting at the set, Gerard texted Shakira asking about the weather when the World Cup started. Then, he told her that he was going to win the finals so that they could see each other again. And, they did!

I mean, if they were already texting, they could've met even if Spain didn't win, but every great romantic story ever has a grand romantic gesture and what's better than winning the freaking World Cup.
