Many of our celebrities are heading to Bangkok for the IIFA weekend. While we can't wait for the pictures and videos from the show to roll out, for now we have set up camp at the airport to see what our celebrities are wearing before they fly off. 

Varun Dhawan was one of the few stars caught last night at the airport, all set to join the IIFA gang. Looking cool as usual, what caught our attention though was an accessory on his head that looked inspired from the Mad Hatter, Johnny Depp himself.

If you are a Depp fan or are at least familiar with his works, the one thing that sticks out besides his goatee is that he is mostly snapped with a hat on his head. It has become his signature style of sorts. And so, when we saw a hat on VD's head, we couldn't help but think of Captain Jack Sparrow.

Snapped at the airport, Varun can be seen wearing a deep blue round neck sweatshirt with a pair of washed out black jeans and grey suede ankle length boots. From the corner of our eye we also happened to notice a Louis Vuitton shoulder bag with the classic check pattern. But we are just gonna move on from the branded (and costly) backpack to the insanely stylish hat on his head.

While Varun's sweatshirt maybe a blessing in disguise with those thumb holes, we can't stop appreciating his hat. We have seen celebrities wearing a cap to the airport quite often, but wearing a hat is a far riskier fashion move and Varun seems to have nailed it. It fits perfectly and the black colour goes well with the overall dark tones of his outfit.

Overall, Varun's outfit is the perfect play of dark colours and minimal accessories. The ease and comfort of the entire look makes it worthy to be a part of your closet. With this statement move, Varun had added yet another feather on his “Hat” which will make Johnny Depp proud!
