When Kerala was battling with one of the worst floods in history and was in desperate need of financial support, Sushant Singh Rajput was one of the first few celebrities who came forward to lend a helping hand and donated Rs. 1 crore on behalf of his fan.

With his heartwarming gesture, Sushant proved to be a real life hero who has a heart of gold. When celebrities do something out of goodwill, there are some who will always question their efforts and call it a publicity stunt. But, neither was that for publicity, nor is this kind gesture for flood-ravaged Nagaland.

Nagaland too is hit by floods and while not many people know about the situation there, Sushant Singh Rajput recently visited the state, met the Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio and donated Rs. 1.25 crore for the relief work. Reportedly, nearly 50,000 people have been affected by the floods and the state government gave an estimate of Rs. 800 crore that will be required to help restore the state.

Moved by Sushant's sweet gesture, CM Rio took to Twitter to thank the actor. He wrote, "I am moved at the kind gesture made by @itsSSR and his team towards #NagalandFloods and willingness to help #Nagaland at this crucial hour. Your contribution is encouraging and I hope to see the rest of the nation come forward selflessly, to #DonateForNagaland."

Sushant too posted about his meeting on social media and wrote, "Thank you Sir for your precious time. We,with our full force and determination would work incessantly till the time our #Nagaland is perfectly restored. And this wonderful Gong does make a wonderful sound of friendship.
