Apple Is Coming Up With A Perfect Solution For People Who Keep Breaking Their iPhones

Apple is currently working on a perfect solution for people who keep damaging their smartphones. A new patent suggests that the Cupertino giant is trying to make their future products completely scratch-proof and even bend-proof.

The U.S. Patent and Trademark Office published Apple's new patent that details ways Apple could create “abrasion-resistant surface finishes on metal enclosures.”

The patent was spotted by BGR and described as a potential “indestructible,” iPhone. Apple already made claims that the iPhone XS and XS Max has the most durable front and back glass. It has a higher level of scratch resistance than its predecessor and offers better water resistance.

BGR also adds that Apple is looking to prevent abrasive scratches that occur on iPhones when it comes in contact with hard and rough materials or even other gadgets.

The company is also looking to protect its future devices from accidental drop damage. The iPhone 6 Plus was infamous for having a weak chassis and could bend when intense pressure would be applied. The new patent indicates that the company is working on a new coating that would prevent its devices from bending or other forms of deforming.

As it goes with patents, there's no way to tell if the new features could be translated to upcoming iPhones anytime soon. However, it is worthy to point out that the company is thinking towards the right direction, as customers have complained about scratches on their iPhones for a long time.

Would you like Apple to implement the new patent to their smartphones sometime soon? Let us know in the comments below.
