Aamir Khan's annual mega release, 'Thugs of Hindostan' just hit the screens today and Twitterati has already gone into a frenzy penning their thoughts about the movie. 

The plot of the fantasy-drama is said to revolve around a band of thugs with Amitabh Bachchan as their leader, who decides to challenge the British Raj and claim freedom for India.

The movie also stars Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in supporting roles. With the first show lined up as early as 9 in the morning today, Tweet-scape is brimming with honest reviews from movie-goers.

As per the reviews so far, the much-anticipated film seems to be receiving a mixed bag of reactions, with many claiming that Aamir's acting in the movie as the bad guy comes across as forced, while the first half is also being claimed to be a bit too slow for people's liking.

However, the virtual critics have some good things to say for Sr. Bachchan and the use of VFX in the movie. On the other hand, the director of the movie is receiving a LOT of backlash online.
