Mohamed Salah's Thunderous 25-Yard Strike Against Chelsea Sends Football Fans Into Delirium

Arguably one of the best footballers on the planet, Mohamed Salah continues to be a vital cog in Liverpool's title dreams in the ongoing season of the Premier League. For someone who started his career at the left-back position, Salah has thrived as a versatile forward, primarily playing as a winger on the right flank - a position he has made his own ever since arriving at the Anfield.

His pace and flair on the ball, decorated with good technique and an eye for goal, was in full display during Liverpool's 2-0 triumph over Chelsea at the Anfield on 14th April. After a goalless first half, the Reds were pushed in front by Sadio Mane whose brilliant header allowed the home side to take the lead in the 51st minute.

Two minutes later, Salah worked his magic to double the lead for Liverpool. The 26-year-old picked the ball up on the right of the Chelsea box in the 53rd minute and arrowed a rasping, unstoppable drive from his stronger left foot beyond Kepa Arrizabalaga from 25 yards out to seal the game for the hosts.

While talking to Sky Sports after the match, Salah revealed that he was so far out that he felt he had to go with just "power" in a bid to beat the Chelsea shot-stopper. It was the first goal he had scored from outside the penalty box in the Premier League for more than a year.

His brilliant strike powered Liverpool back to the top of the points table with arch-rivals Manchester City currently placed second with a game in hand. The social media was abuzz with Salah's brilliant goal as football fans across the globe lauded the Egyptian for his effort.
