Punjabs Residents Shower Flowers On A Sanitation Worker & That's A Lesson In Humanity

While most of us are safely sitting inside our houses, many people apart from the âhealth warriorsâ are out on the streets working for us.

These people include vegetable and fruit sellers, and sanitation workers, who are coming to work every day like itâs just another regular day.

To pay their respects, residents of Nabha showered flowers on a sanitation worker from their terraces to thank him for the work that he is still doing during the Coronavirus lockdown.

Taking to his Twitter, Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh wrote along with a video, âPleased to see the applause & affection showered by people of Nabha on the sanitation worker. Itâs heartening to note how adversity is bringing out the intrinsic goodness in all of us. Letâs keep it up & cheer our frontline warriors in this War Against #Covid19.â

People on the internet found the video heartwarming and hereâs what they have to say about the video-

True.

Beautiful and very moving.

â Aditya Raj Kaul (@AdityaRajKaul) March 31, 2020 Agreed.

I agree with you and really hope this virus helps to change attitudes towards sanitation workers and migrants labourers and the poor in society.

â ParentStrandedInIndia (@StrandedinIndia) March 31, 2020 Makes sense!

Beautiful to see but why are people throwing petals without covering their hands and why are they going up to the sanitation workers with garlands and not keeping appropriate social distance? Not fair to blame this virus on 'foreigners' while promoting inconsistent messages.

â ParentStrandedInIndia (@StrandedinIndia) March 31, 2020 Mine as well!

Made my day

â Abhishek Gupta (@AYPgupta) March 31, 2020 Exactly.

oh mannnnn!!! my day is madeeee!!!!

â Anjali_Sharmaâ®ï¸ (@TribeccaaAngie) March 31, 2020 Yesâ¦

Very thoughtful of residents

â arun (@arunsharma1968) March 31, 2020 So true.

Just because a leader is there to lead and set an example,
Hats off to your leadership.
