Itâs hard to believe that itâs already been 10 days since Irrfan Khan left this world for a better place.  

But as much as weâd like to think it was for the best, there is no denying that none of us have been able to accept his passing away wholeheartedly.

Family, friends and fans aside, even Irrfanâs co-stars have been mourning his loss to this day and one such doting co-star happens to be Deepika Padukone.  

We had often seen Irrfan and Deepika greet each-other fondly on multiple occasions, be it on-set, public events or even during media interactions.

So, when Deepika shared an unseen video of Irrfan and herself from the sets of Piku with a heartfelt message, all we could think of was âthatâs exactly what we want to tell Irrfan tooâ.

Irrfan had not only managed to grow his own dedicated fan-base, but also managed to touch thousands of lives through his kindness, skill and a genuine heart.  

Irrfanâs loss is profound and irreplaceable and even now, people are constantly reminded of the kind of human being that Irrfan was. 

Yesterday too, Deepika took to her Instagram account to reminisce about her Piku co-star on the occasion of the filmâs 5-year anniversary.  

She shared a happy picture from the shooting days and followed it with the lyrics of âLamhe Guzar Gayeâ from the movie, which was so poignant, given the current situation.

This is yet another reminder that we might never be able to make peace with Irrfan's untimely passing. Not today. Not tomorrow or in the years to come.  

Irrfan has taken a piece of our heart with himself, and we will have to learn to live with it. We will learn to think of him every time the missing piece resurfaces in the form of memories captured on the reel.
