Let’s admit it, some people just have it hard in life sometimes. You know, they do a lot of things to gain mass approval but always fall short of it. Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi seems to suffer from such tough luck, because no matter what the guy tries to pull off, it still gets him trolled.

Case in point, Rahul's recent tractor rally in Punjab which was kickstarted on Sunday to protest against the Centre's recently passed Agri bills. After his arrival in Moga to hold protest rallies under the ‘Kheti Bachao Yatra’ in the state from 4th to 6th October, Rahul was seen sitting atop a customised tractor which came with a make-shift sofa seat to allow him to protest in comfort.

However, the seemingly ordinary picture of Rahul from the rally instantly went viral because Mr Bean fans couldn’t help but take note of the similarities between Rahul’s make-shift seating arrangements and Mr Bean aka Rowan Atkinson’s iconic sofa-car ride from the popular British sitcom.

Memes followed soon enough and now Twitter is flooded with people drawing parallels between the two, while some loyal fans have even taken offence over Atkinson being compared to Rahul Gandhi.

At least Mr Rowan Atkinson was an intelligent man only playacting the fool as Mr Bean. In case of Pappu Gandhi no such playacting. It is the real Pappu who is an authentic fool. @INCIndia
